RESTORATION THROUGH HIS RESURRECTION.
The death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is a divine will to bring man closer back to God. It comes with the redemptive power to restore man back to his(man's) lost glory. 1Cor 15:25-26 says; For Christ must rule until God defeats all enemies and puts them under his feet. The last enemy to be defeated will be death. Death can only be defeated through the power of the cross, not by man's strength or wisdom.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS:
(1) The resurrection of Jesus brings life, a better and not a struggling kind of life. It is a life that is valuable and makes meaning. An enduring life. "The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I have come in order that you might have life, life in all its fullness. John 10:10."
(2) The resurrection of Jesus gives us peace.
"Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid. John 14:27."
Jesus' life is an embodiment of peace, not the type of peace that is perishable, but that which can transcend through generations and ages.
(3) The death and resurrection of Jesus destroyed man's relationship with the devil and brings man closer to God. Hence the devil cannot condemn us again.
(4) The resurrection of Jesus delivered us from the power of darkness. His death brings back light into darkness.
"And with joy give thanks to the Father, who has made you fit to have your share of what God has reserved for his people in the kingdom of light. He rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us safe into the kingdom of his dear Son. (Col 1:12-13)."
Where Jesus operates, Satan and darkness cannot succeed there.
However, one can only attain all these benefits of Jesus' resurrection, only if Christ is in him/her. Christ is found right before you, in that situation that seems you are all alone, He is talking to you, calling on you to look at the finished work on the cross. There, you can find restoration of all things.
