A week ago I posted a blog about laughter and recommended that you follow SydesJokes Faucet run by @sydesjokes. Since then he has made some changes and this faucet is once again available every weekday. I do not take credit for this. 😁 It is the result of exciting changes made at @kryptoniabot. You should take a look:

...of the three articles the one that touches me the most is letting go....I leave you the following comment ...."Letting go means accepting the change without harboring resentment, frustration or anger. On many occasions we tolerate change but we do not understand it or accept it.
Assuming new experiences allows us to change our beliefs, our ways of valuing what surrounds us ... in short, it helps us to assume changes as an intrinsic part of development and therefore, it will facilitate us to face them in a more positive way.
The task is not simple but without a doubt it will allow us to achieve a better quality of life..."
A few months ago I decided to give up my job for many years ... a few days later my mother died ... letting go is one of the most difficult tests to carry out ... but the most healing ...
Thanks for your posts!!!

Thank you @piccola.valeria. Appreciate your participation.

We have a saying: It never rains it pours. This means things always happen faster and more often than we would want it to. Glad you experienced healing!

This is my favorite quote.

You need to love and to be loved.
You need to know and to be known.
You need to be heard and to hear.
You need to see and to be seen.
You need to touch and to be touched.

This is so simple it eludes us. The popularity of Facebook reveals the deep hunger for connection. However it is a poor substitute for real life friendship. Well said Sir!

Great point @giddyupngo! Thank you.

We are all the same and need one another. Facebook proves it.

  • I have been given all the time I need in life only to fill it with a lot of negative attitude in thinking and acting but I am truly grateful for all the years that I felt lonely, I was actually blessed with a lot of wonderful friends.
  • I have been blinded by all the negative thinking I possess that I previously did not realize that I have wasted my precious time.
  • The moment I started to forgive, I also start to see all the wonderful things that I actually already had.

The most precious give of life is time and it is our own choice on how we want our life to be. Forgive yourself and start again for we are already given all the time we need.

Awesome @heartbeat1515. My grandmother's favourite hymn was 'Count your blessings, one by one.'

Every breath is precious. Let's enjoy each one.

I hope you have a nice comfy sofa because you're basically becoming my psycho-analyst now. I kind of remember the story of Saul/Paul from my days in Catholic school. I even portrayed him in a play before the whole school and parents in about 5th grade. I usually got the leads in most of the the plays we had. By eighth grade they thought I wanted to become a priest, but that's a story for another time. After reading your three posts and some of the more relevant comments, the part that stuck out to me the most is not from the scripture but this:

Holding a grudge keeps you a captive to your past. When you do not forgive, your past and whatever hurt you will rule over you. The longer you hold on the stronger the past's hold on you will become.

The reason it really struck me was because I feel like I have been able to forgive and forget the past but it's not always easy. The person or persons that you feel wronged by are often the closest to you and although you were able to move past whatever slight from the past, they can easily open old wounds with a word or action. Does that mean you have truly forgiven them?

I know I need to work on living every day to it's fullest but I can't imagine living to the age of 200. I've had a good life but that sounds exhausting. Peace to you my friend and thanks for making me contemplate another 150 years. (Sarcasm implied here 😉)

Thank you @the-witty-waiter. Love your participation in this.

Forgiveness and letting go is not an easy thing. As a result, you will meet very few people who are able to do it. Well done for being on the journey. It gets easier as you persevere and then the day arrives when the old wound cannot be opened again and the person who hurt you have no power to do so again.

The freedom you gain makes the hard work worth it.

I've tried over the years but the person I'm having the hardest time with often does and says things that I disagree with and it's the same person with whom I am closest in my life. Catch 22

Just don't spend your life without actually making a choice

All of us can take a choice and make a mistake. But after every mistake we learn. We learn how to overcome a failure and do better next time.
So we do not be afraid to take a choice. Go outside of the box and take your choice.
Do not be afraid to fail big!
Failure is just the first step of a choice towards the success. Every big event started with a mistake before becoming great.
MAKE A CHOICE!
FAIL!
TAKE THE SUCCESS!

Awesome @moncia90! Failure is a positive, not a negative! Thomas Edison said this:

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

And as a result invented the light bulb.

One of the happiest moments in life is when you find the courage to let go of what you cannot change.

It can be touching to my actual life experience after long years trying to save my marriage but finally decided to give up and choose to raise my 3 children alone.

Your three writings are all inspirational, yes I am frequently reading motivational write ups to help me become optimistic in life despite all endeavors. Thank you.

I'm @regerita at kryptonia.

I liked this quote:

So many people waste their lives with superficial relationships. So many make bad or desperate choices in fear of loneliness.

Loneliness really is a driving factor behind many bad decisions in life.

Agreed @yoghurt. We should ask why we do the things we do, if we want to make sure we are doing it for the right reasons!

It is such a waste to live in the past. It can offer you nothing. Today is what counts!

This quote actually made my day when I first read it, I did comment, it was 9:00pm here so I slept over with the word in my head.
Just when I was still ruminating on it the second word came.

You were not made to be lonely

Yes, no one is, it starts to makes sense, if I don't want my today to be a waste by wasting time, I have to be in communion with God.

Thanks for bringing this into light.

Thank you @botefarm. I enjoy your participation. There is a void in us that only God can fill.

This is the line I find it most profound, especially the last sentence.

You were not made to be lonely and the pursuit of companionship will fill your days and choices and thoughts, whether you acknowledge this pursuit or not. It is possible to be alone and not lonely...

I know that feeling of being alone physically but never lonely,

The post talks about the relationship with the one being pursuid, but for non-religious people it's hard to even describe what is it like. I, as a Muslim (pursuing Allah/God) didn't reach that level yet. (I know I'm not a good enough as a person.)

But it's something to strive for... I know from the brief moments I touch that state.

Of the three articles, I quote a section that I think was particularly striking...

"Let go of what is behind you and focus on this moment. Let it go! You cannot reach out to what is in front of you, if you do not let go of what is behind you.

Life is a journey, not a destination. Let's go take a look at what is behind that horizon. It can be anything." (From your article, "Legging go")

This is something that I sometimes have trouble with, I have a lot of regrets about my past... When I was younger, I was fairly content to just get by, not much appetite for risk or trying new things but now I realize those make for time well spent... But that time is spent, I can only try to let go of my past and try to learn for the future...
