I would upvote, but for whatever reason my vote is worth zero and has been for some time and I'm not sure why? How long does it take for voting power to regenerate if one has none? I've gone to steemnow.com to check (as suggested) and still showing as no worth, but I'm not sure why?
Any feedback on this issue is appreciated. Sorry if it seems I'm being dense.
With steem prices so low votes drop a lot. So you currently don’t have enough steem power to pass the .01 mark. Your voting power is still at 100%. Keep posting to grow that steem power. I just upvoted a bunch of your posts to give you a little boost. Good luck.
Thank you for your generosity @dosdudes! And, thanks for the encouragement to keep posting. As you know, not as much fun when you don't have upvotes to give. Though I enjoy producing content and visiting/commenting on other peoples brilliant content, there still remain parts of the system which I find very complicated.

And also, even if it's less than a cent, it still assigns some rshares, so it, along with a bunch of other teeny tiny votes, still matters. Vote away. No worries (you can check your current steem power on steemworld.com)

I agree with you @improv! Always use your votes. Prefered to do it yourself manual but otherwise follow a trail but please use your VP😎
Maybe, I was misinterpreting? For the most part I've been probably voting too much, but stopped for a couple of weeks when it had no value and didn't seem to ever build up again. Finally, I am seeing the error of my thinking and happy to be voting again :)
Yes. No matter how much you vote, if you stop for 5 days (even if you'd managed to get your vp to 0%) you'll be back to full.

At 100%, you'd need 91 SP. You have 84.79 SP. You're nearly there!
Don't worry... with a bit of luck and patience, STEEM will shoot up and your vote will suddenly be worth $0.04 or $0.05.
Yay! Look, I just took your advice, looked at steemworld, went back to my account and powered up the $18 I had sitting there and I've got a one cent vote again :)

Will voting with no power mean it will take me much longer to build up a vote that is worth something? I do at least leave comments on the posts that I read and appreciate.
Short version: Voting on posts will actually earn you some curation and therefor your vote will be worth more in the future.
To be honest though I really urge you to read the welcome tab since it is quite important to understand how steemit works.
I feel your pain. As the price has been going down, I have been stuck at being able to give .01 or less for months. Things will come back though.
In my experience, people are always happy to get an upvote even if it very small and I know that I, personally, notice when I see the same people coming around my posts to vote and comment and I end up following a lot of them.
Well, I am learning that it's probably best just to upvote whatever I normally would have I just read somewhere not to vote if my voting power was down, but I'm finally figuring out that means if it's under 80% of power. I kept thinking my penny upvote would come back after I stopped using as many, stopped and then nothing was happening. Anyway, thanks for your help. Can take me awhile sometimes to get things ;/
Haha I always have low power. I think I am sitting at 60 something at the moment lol. Yeah you kind of have to find a happy medium. Once you get to like 500 sp you get the little slider then it is easier because you don't have to give a 100% upvote. That is what I am working on doing at the moment but it is slow going sadly.
No problem. No one really tells us things when we start here and it can take a bit of doing to figure things out. It was about three months before I satrted to get the hang of it and I am still finding stuff out.
Yes, it'll be awhile before I hit the 500 mark, but feeling pretty good about finally figuring this voting thing out :)
