I found a home.

From Quora to Youtube I felt I was building a foundation on sand. With the Steem blockchain, I finally feel I am building on solid rock. As you may already know, I left Quora as a top writer, and I quit my Youtube channel. The reason I moved off of those platforms was that when I hear a train coming and I look down at tracks, I don't wait to see the train before moving. The train is coming.. and that train runs on Steem.

Risk is an essential ingredient of success. The best opportunities in life are often staring us right in the face; people tend to overlook them in search of something new. Most investors, retail especially, have herd animal spirits. The phrase "buy low, sell high" has become a meme; it's the most straightforward advice to understand in theory yet the hardest to follow in practice. I cut out the outside noise, and I align my capital with my beliefs. Freedom is taken one inch at a time and never reimbursed. - This Is why I believe in a foundation that defeats censorship and creates an opportunity where there was once none; Steem provides such a foundation.

I will be providing a ton of focus on Steem. My first efforts will be to have a high-quality commercial made for Steem that will clearly show the difference between Steemit.com and Steem the blockchain while highlighting the massive potential for Steem. Then, blast the ad everywhere. We can attract a lot of big-time investors to Steem by merely spreading awareness. Steem is a no-brainer, and once we spread the knowledge, the floodgates will open. Developers are kings in their own rights, and I plan to bring as many as I can. The more projects on Steem, the more moon shots all hodlers of Steem have, and we're all going to the same moon.

The average Steemian investor is a Super Saiyan of value!!! For each investor in Steem is comparable to one-thousand ordinary crypto investors. The average investor might lift a finger to like a tweet, the average Steemian creates a feature/dApp, or produces content or rewards those that provide value. Steemian's go over and beyond. Just look at gonetcoins, and I have a great feeling about Coinbase. Many can become one, Steemians can delegate not only their time, skills and effort but also their SP similar to how humans delegate their spirit to a spirit bomb. With the energy that is focused, there is nothing this community cannot conquer.

Steem is the blockchain of go-getters, overachievers, the ones who work when no one is watching, and help those who no one else will. I have seen more done to progress the human race on the Steem blockchain than any other blockchain and I believe the potential is second to none when it comes to the future of our society.

Yes, glad to see you get it. :) There's a lot wrong on steem, but at the same time so much of it is right. If you focus on the negatives then that's all you're going to see. I acknowledge them, but focus instead on all the positives. And each time I think about them they always get me fired up and make me realize there's nothing really to worry about.

There are some amazing people here and with their actions and words they've really made me reconsider everything. I used to be really skeptical about mankind, but after seeing what is taking place here my dominant feelings of pessimism have been replaced by positive hope. Steem has really made me a better person.

You constantly see people being picked up out of the gutter here. I remember when I first saw a Nigerian vlog talking about how he could live off of the $100 for half a year I think it was. And that post got him an additional $200 in upvotes. That's when it really clicked with me. Steem is changing lives for the better.

There's people being helped and then there's also myriad of opportunities for investors and developers. We're seeing dapps being announced daily to the point where it's getting hard to keep track of everything. Delegating is the best way I've seen to invest in something. You help out a project without risking your own capital. The only thing you risk as an investor is how much your ROI is going to be in the end. Just brilliant.

I could go on and on, like the 3 second free transactions, wallet addresses being simple usernames, one shared account across all dapps etc. But I'll stop here. Steem still needs work but it's already pretty awesome. :)

Man, you got the words.. I both laughed and felt inspired.

Cheers bud

Man, not sure how I haven't come across you until now, but good to see you here! From the sounds of things, you'll rock it here! I had no online experience whatsoever prior to steemit, and it is definitely a gamechanger.

I guess since "theycallmedan" then I will too! Nice to meet you "Dan."

Nice to meet you too. :)

Woohoo! I'm your 500th follower too!

That's some serious steem power you got there @theycallmedan. I am just happy to see more steem power in the hands of someone who sees the bigger vision and is willing to invest in growing their investment, rather than just seek ROI and delegate to bots and other non-productive avenues.

I will keep an eye for that advert and happy to share it to my Twitter and LinkedIn!

Wow. Within few days your ranking reached -8 from -20

yesss!! this post gets me so fired up inside! you are absolutely correct- here at steem the investors move mountains! lol i am BEYOND excited for your commercial-- i will share it far and wide!!!

I cut out the outside noise, and I align my capital with my beliefs.

i live this way as well. strip away the excess, silence the herd voices and listen to the clear sound of that bell ringing truth! thank you thank you for this INSPIRATION! Yes! I'm in!

Really I stay put and worked hard. Despite life's challenge with a child with health condition, I will not give up. Fell in love with steem and the communities. After I join sndbox summer camp challenge and given the topic 'project which promote steem', the fire ignites brighter. Will not part from Steem. I have seen steem plunge from $10 to now. But I am stucked here.

By the way, I found out about you via @nathanmars. If not the ocean is so big I wouldn't have bump into you.

Thank you for sharing this.

I have just known blockchain for several months. I feel that my knowledge about blockchain is still very little compared to you. But I will learn it little by little. I hope the blockchain will grow rapidly. Including in my country Indonesia.

"...the ones who work when no one is watching..."

I think this relates to all of us who are active on Steemit even during these tough crypto times :) But it will pay off big time when others start waching again, I am sure.

Thanks for these encouraging words Dan.

I agree with you on pretty much all of the post bar one thing. I fully believe in the blockchain and what is being built on it right now. Every week we see a new project or app in the works showing how much potential is being linked to steem.
I think that it is such a flexible blockchain that it is perfect for building a multi level economy on with apps, games, writing payments etc all linking in together and becoming self sufficient. I wasn't early enough to buy a large stake and don't have the money to do it now but I am trying to build my account as much as possible through effort and topping it up when I can.

My only argument is against your timing. I just don't think we are fully ready for mass adoption yet as there is still no ease of use to the blockchain. For people coming in with no knowledge it is still very awkward to do anything here and can turn a lot of people off before they can see all of the benifits. If we ever see a streamlined version of the site and have an easy way to buy and sell steem then I think we really have a winner.

I wasn't ready to swim until my father threw me in the water and I learned to swim. Steem is different from BTC/ETH in the fact it is actually ready to handle the workload. Onboarding people, UI's, ETC are all things that are sink or swim. The more people that sign up the quicker devs will try to find ways to get them in faster. I think Steem needs to flex its muscles and show the world what it is really capable of, the strong dev teams will rise to the top when the challenge is placed.

I'm trying the best I can to spread the word on Twitter. I have 400+ steemers on my list here and will gladly add you if you are over there with a good presence.

Many talk a good game here, but there is very little promotion on other platforms. Aside from my own posts, I usually tweet and rt a few steemit posts from others each day. I have a hard time finding them, since people do not promite!

Since I have been here, (1.5 years) I have around 800 non-steeming crypto connections on twitter now. This is up from zero before I got here since I am a natural weight loss coach and had never been in crypto before steem. Those crypto people give me a lot more twitter action than my steeming friends.

It's really nice to see you here with such a large stake. Things have been pretty discouraging and you bring me hope.
