The Steem(it) Problem:
So I have been using steemit for a while now and I have noticed a few issues with it that I wish can be resolved in the future.
So let's kick things off with:
1)The Price and Poloneix:
If you have been on steemit for a while or have monitored the price before, you would have noticed the steady decline of the price. Now there are a number of factors that can affect the price but we are going to discuss the elephant in the room,Poloneix. For the past few months, Poloniex have had major issues with steem. In some cases bringing the withdrawal and deposit of steem and steem dollars for weeks to do a ''Maintenece''. This is so strange as other exchanges usually go down for only a few days and then the issue is resolved. Now I don't know what the actual isuue is between Poloniex and Steem as Poloniex never responds to tickets regarding this matter so we still don't know who to blame but we know that for a fact when a major player like Poloniex is down the steem price is bound to be affected.
2)Steemit Account Approval:
So a few weeks back I convined a few of my friends to join steemit. Now the issue all of them faced was the waiting time. If you didn't know the steem blockchain unlike other blockchains doesn't charge transaction fees and when an account is created it is filled with some steem power that the developers have to pay out of their pockets.
So as a way of combating fake accounts steemit has a fixed accounts made per block. This creates long waiting times as more and more people try to join the platform. Now some have suggested the possibility of having a service where people can buy accounts ,however, this doesn't solve the problem as this only makes it worse. By creating an account creation fee, less people would be willing to join the platform and only true believers of the system would join causing steemit to hault and not grow. I personally don't have solution ,but I am a true believer that an open discussion in the comments below can yield us some prosperous ideas.
3)The Steemit User Interface:
Now I know that the steemit user
interface is still in beta but I still feel the need to address it. The system has been in beta for quite some time now but it's still so slow and laggy compared to other websites. I know developers are doing their best to perfect steemit but speeding the process just a bit is a needed thing.
I hope by mentioning these issues they get resolved in a short span of time.

I'm new here and see the world differently, but You are the one who is talking about this mystical Poloneix. Looks like I should find out more about it, since it is the second time I read about it.
it is an exchange poloniex.com
And how it is connected to the user's @poloniex huge money transfers?
I also made a post about my first week here on steemit. If you are approved you don't have this problem anymore, so I think we can take this out.
The matter of the user interface I agree with you, but like you mentioned this site is still in his beta period.
One important thing for me is the search function.
Yes, there is asksteem but it's a separate URL. I would prefer to have search like this including in the mainpage.
One more thing is the FAQ should be more practical because there is so much to learn about steemit and all things around it.
Poloniex might not be in the power of the steemit team to fix. I don't know, I'm not one of them. In the mean time bittrex and openledger seem to work fine, and apparently blocktrades also does, although I only ever used the latter to pay in.
Paying to join is already a thing for those that want a new account without having to join the queue. Most of what you pay ends up as your starting steem power. Alternatively existing members can create accounts for free by delegating some of their steem power. This delegation 'loans' the steem power to the account created, but it remains in your account. So you can do this for friends and family without handing them your steem.
I think steemit intend other third party sites to provide improved interfaces and are deliberately leaving the core site quite basic to encourage the growth of these alternatives.
Can you explain how can I create an account by delegation?!
I should have bookmarked it! I actually created an account this way once, so I know it can be done. If I find it again later I'll let you know...
I can't find it now. I can find the one where you put some of your steem into the new account. I think the delegation version also used SteemConnect...
