The Essence of Compassion and Charity
written by @soulfuldreamer
For those familiar with my posts or those who have come across a few, it may be known that I am a Muslim hailing from Pakistan. With the holy month of Ramadan (Islamic month) just around the corner, during which we fast for a whole lunar month from dawn to dusk, there is one more thing that many of us prioritize highly, and that is charity. In my religion, there are two types of charity
About My Monday
written by @nsisong2022
My Monday usually comes with a lot of tasks and responsibilities, I usually wonder were the strength is gotten from to attend to all this load of activities ranging from school to house chores. Truly speaking I see myself has multitasked lady because doing or achieving such great task I must be applauded. In the Morning having enjoyed my weekend I find it very reluctant to wake up early as usual like 4am to prepare for school, I sluggish woke up by 5am and prepare breakfast for the family before leaving to school
Життя книжкового хробачка: мій сад на підвіконні - Little bookworm’s life: my little garden
written by @inber
Today I want to tell you about one more small hobby of mine, namely my home garden. Its appearance was determined by necessity. I have a second floor, and a house full of not very friendly neighbors. I just wanted to isolate myself from them as much as possible, and to do it in such a way that sunlight still entered the room, so curtains were a bad option.
Time for Tea
written by @tr33oflife
Recently, I have been reading a few books which were about families living in England and it struck me how often they had tea during the day. Now don't get me wrong, I also love tea and have often been told "tea makes everything right again". Anyway, getting back to the books that I read - apart from the normal times that tea was served in the day, it was also served whenever there was a crisis, an injury, an emotional outburst and of course whenever there was something for people to gather together and gossip about.
Old Habits: How People Resist Healing Their Hearts and Minds
written by @whitelightxpress
Most people make a point of visiting their doctor at least once a year for a health check up. Doing so makes us "responsible" human beings. At the same time, most people will go to great lengths to avoid making an appointment with a therapist to have a mental health check up. There seem to be all sorts of stigmas attached to mental health, and voluntarily going to a therapist to make sure that your mind and spirit is okay exposes you to the possibility of all kinds of cultural biases like your friends and family judging you and thinking you're crazy!
