There has been much talk about the HF21 Since it happened, I have stated my own opinion that the general user on Steemit is being hoodwinked yet again. We can drag that debate our probably for months and get nowhere.

That appears to be the situation as a decision has been made and to change it now would mean to admit an error in judgement. So it will play through so not to make someone look bad. The rewards gained that can be gained from the platform now, (by a limited few) will serve to push those few perpetually above the rest for the foreseeable future.

Steem/SBD though I have not touched on for quite a while it seems. That could be why I am suffering a bit of confusion. over the last couple of month. I have heard an Echo of what @jackmiller had said many times previous. Methods to burn some SBD that can be utilised. It fell on ears that did not want to listen at the time. Recently, it has came up again as a topic. Funny, that when it is said this time. The same thing gets support. This time though, they are saying to burn Steem. Not burn SBD.

I have seen the same thing said about other things and then. A few month later, a project will emerge from well known people, that is very very similar to a previous project rejected.

SBD
I have heard people I assumed were a bit more knowledgeable about Steem and SBD than I was. Say to burn Steem. I have heard it said in with many witness present and none of them raise an objection to the burn of Steem.

I will admit I tend to relate things I do not know to situations I do know something about to gain a better understanding. Don't hold that against me. I am trying to learn.

So, If I am recollecting correctly. When @jackmiller was saying this about burn and saying "burn SBD". It was explained to me, and confirmed my understanding of the Steem to SBD relationship.

SBD is ideally pegged to the United States Dollar. This peg set at 1 SBD = 1 Dollar. That mathematics is simple with that ratio. What you would expect to gain from a shopping trip for the SBD is easily calculated. Providing you know the cost of the things you are going to buy.

I can see a need for SBD to be on exchanges to enable purchasing items. It would remove the need for a person using SBD for trading of merchandise or services, to have a Steemit account. They would still be able to purchase the goods needed by sending SBD from their wallet on an exchange to the provider.

Having SBD pegged to the USD implies there is an ambition to have SBD used as a medium in transaction for the exchange of goods and services. If this is the case. There needs to be written into the code. That SBD will only ever reward in any currency or token the same vale of 1 USD.

A massive fluctuating price is not good for any currency. There does seem to be a huge lack of will from Steem Inc to try keep the peg on target. I only assume this as methods to improve on that stability has been said to them prior to now.

Right now. There is too much SBD floating around all over the place with people trying to cash in the SBD earned on Steemit. There is not enough Steem powered up to equal the value of SBD out there. We need more Steem powered up and less SBD for a faster recovery.

Steem

Steem that's in a different fishbowl to SBD. Kinda like it's cousin. Related, but not the same. It also should be on an exchange and the more the better. This is the token you want to create the demand for. This is done by increasing its value. Holding it as the only token acceptable for SBD is what ultimately should give both SBD and Steem part of their value. SBD will trade in the daily lives of people while Steem trades for SBD or other currency/tokens.

Burning Steem, If it is true that the amount of Steem powered up determines the value of SBD and if the balance is negative the value of SBD will decrease. Then it is a dayum bad idea to burn Steem. Yet I have heard over and over "burn Steem" more recent.

Burning Steem is an effort to keep the price low in my mind. Burning SBD will help improve the price.

So why are all these top guys supporting burning Steem?

Any of you guys in that list willing giving me the time of day to explain to me why burning Steem is a good thing for long term positive results.

Burning Steem makes no sense to me at all. Judging by the votes on the post accumulation amount. Many people read those posts and agree with what it says. If I am swimming the right way on this and all the others are going the other. That very same information being put out there can keep the price down.

It looks to me like there is an ambition to drive the price of SBD gradually down. The saddest part if this is true. It is lies told to me and you.
