💵 STEEM is a Currency of LOVE ❤

"Steem is a blockchain database that supports community building and social interaction with cryptocurrency rewards. The above was taken from the abstract of the Steem whitepaper. I haven't read any other whitepaper that spoke of love like Steem's did. I would caution you against searching for the word love in the whitepaper, you will not see it. In this article, I will share how I view Steem as a currency of love.

Creating an environment infused with love is extremely important in both community building and healthy social interaction. Those two are the main advocacy of Steem, so without even talking about love, it is the currency that supports spreading love throughout the internet, throughout the world.

In "🎯 Happiness Chemicals and Steemians' Evolution", an article I posted yesterday, I spoke about how Steemians evolve from selfishness to come close to selflessness.

Towards the end of the article, I quoted from a study on how the chemical oxytocin creates intimacy, trust, and builds healthy relationships. I then spoke about when in a Steemian's journey through the platform is oxytocin released.

Here is the part of that post:

At this point you would have developed deeper ties with the community, you would have participated in a meet-up, or a community sponsored event. You feel loved and you love the community, and individuals within the community in return.

You become truly concerned about steemians-in-need, and you would do all that you can to support, in return you develop an expectation that they would do the same for you.

Love In Our ( @dandalion & @steemitph ) Personal Steemit Journey

Our first two encounters with other Steemians were both done out of love.

The first was with @cryptopie, in the post "The Human Behind @cryptopie | A First Personal Encounter with Another Steemian" I told the Steemit world about a visit to our fellow Steemian in need of serious medical attention. The objective of the visit was to serve as a verification to the community, and remove any doubt about his identity.

He is extremely grateful for all of your help. We are scheduled to visit him again next week. The post made some $75 in author rewards, and I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who continue to support him. I have since sent 100 SBD to him and will continue to support where I can. I indicated in that post that whatever it makes in reward will be sent to Arnold. The transactions of 2 50 SBD transfers are shown below.

Our second encounter was with @flabbergast-art, in the post "A Day of Hug & Love with Art & Music | A SteemPH Outreach & Steemit Promotion Event" I shared our experience enjoying music and art with children with special needs, I also took the opportunity to talk to their parents about Steemit, and how the platform can help people like them who are most probably required to stay at home to care for their children.

The event was funded by our growing community in Steemit Philippines SteemPH. Another proof that Steem is a currency of love.

I first saw the video below from @teamsteem in his post Welcome To Steem!. If you search the post for the word love, like in the whitepaper you will not see it. Yet the entire post was talking about how Steem is a currency of love.

In the video @ned answered the question "Why create Smart Media Token". His answer was short and to the point, with details about selflessness, and how the internet - and the world will benefit from SMT. The short answer is "because Steem is a currency of love, and we want to expand the spread of the love currently exclusive to Steemit to the rest of the world through Smart Media Token.
