Steemit Update [Oct 18th, 2022] : Community Curators for November - Applications Open

in #steem2 years ago

We hope you are all enjoying another rather different month of the Community Curators.

From what we have observed the new Team Millionaire appears to be doing a great job in supporting and encouraging contests on the platform.

We will therefore be continuing with this special team in November.

So if you would like to have a chance of being selected for a Community Curation team for next month now is the time to make your application.

The Community Curators for November

For November we are again inviting individuals to apply if they would like to be Community Curators.

From the individual applications we will select six teams as we did for October.

The teams may be of varying size - anywhere from one to seven - depending on the number and quality of applications.

Again there will be no specific themes allocated for each team - except Team Millionaire.

Instead all teams will be free to vote on posts on any subject.

We also want teams to look beyond communities. There are many good posts that are outside of any communities - just directly on people’s personal blogs.

Teams should seek these out.

We hope by dropping themes and tags it will reduce the rather obvious tag content farming. There has been a considerable quantity of poor quality, often spun or plagiarized posts appearing over the last few months produced solely to chase votes from the Community Curators.

The Curation Teams in November should again allocate a portion of their voting power for voting on the best comments.

High-quality, relevant comments add a whole new richness to the Steem blogging ecosystem.

Good comments can be as interesting and as valuable as good posts.

We want good comments to be encouraged and rewarded.

How to Apply as a Community Curator

If you would like to be considered as a Community Curator you should make a post including…

  • A brief summary of your history on Steem.

  • Details of any positions of responsibility you have held on Steem.

  • Details of specialist or professional skills or expertise you have in ‘real life’.

  • What country you live in and what languages you can read fluently.

  • Your key stats - own SP, CSI, Reputation, Delegations.

  • Any subjects you particularly enjoy curating.

  • The minimum team size you would be willing to serve in (1 - 7).

To apply to become a Community Curator you must have a reputation of at least 68 and you must have at least 4000 SP of your own (not delegated to you).

Previously selected Community Curators are welcome to apply again for November.

Keep posts brief and easy to follow. Include the tag #curatorapplication in the first four tags.

Applications can be made in any language.

Posts should be submitted by 11.59pm UTC, on Wednesday, October 26th, 2022.

How Community Curators will be rewarded

Every day the teams will be allowed to allocate one full vote to a member’s post - ideally in rotation. If a team has less than seven members, members can potentially receive more than one vote per week.

In total no more than 10% of the account’s voting power should be used on team members each week.

Additionally each week one member should post a report for the team in the Steem POD community with a list of their top 5 posts, with a brief note of why each post was chosen.

These posts should set beneficiaries to share the rewards with other members of the team.

The posts will be voted by @steemcurator01.

Thank you to this month’s Community Curators. You are all welcome to apply again for November.

We hope the new arrangements will again encourage many more people to apply to become Community Curators.

The selections for the Curation Teams will be announced by the end of the month, with a view to starting at the beginning of November.

Thank you

The Steemit Team

Greeting,

@steemcurator01

In order to foster the growth of the Steemit platform, we are working diligently to attract more and more members. Most of these people who are new to this platform and have recently joined the newcomer community seem to get votes soon after their Achievement 1 is verified, but I am unable to determine why some of the users still do not get votes even days after their achievement task is verified.

Perhaps if those new users receive the vote at the right time, they will have trust on the system from the start and they will want to complete other achievement tasks and in the process learn something about the platform.

As a consequence, I believe that it is very important to get all the users acquainted with the platform, and when they have successfully accomplished these achievements, I have full hope that activities such as plagiarism on these platforms will be reduced and the quality of articles will increase.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I believe that if Greeters have verified a post, any curator account should vote on it. So that we can generate trust in the minds of new users.

@steemcurator09 is the dedicated curation account for Newcomers Achievement Tasks. Other steemcurator accounts should not be voting on Achievement Tasks.

@cryptokannon @inspiracion - can you help with this question about voting on Achievement Tasks ?

That's right, Steemcurator09 is the account in charge of curating the achievements in Newcomers.

When an achievement has not been voted on, a recovery vote can be given in an active publication, but if the newcomer does not have an active publication, how can the vote be given?

We also advise newcomers to be active in their posts and not just make achievements so that they get to know the platform, and can receive their votes if the curation window has expired.

We are 10 greeters in charge of this account so they are aware of verifying and curing the achievements:

Maaf jika saya salah memahami aturan

Congratulations, your comment has been successfully curated by @irawandedy at 10%.

You are very correct @inspiration. He also raised this point below.

I am unable to determine why some of the users still do not get votes even days after their achievement task is verified.

I don't believe that there is any newcomer whose achievement post is verified and that doesn't get the support they deserve. The only thing that can delay their support is if they fail to respond quickly to the guidelines and corrections given as quickly as possible.

This days, greeters are scheduled to be on curation duty more than twice a week and this has made it possible for reviewed achievement posts to be curated as quickly as possible. @deepak94, please if you notice any of such that is neglected, you can call our attention to it and we will support it imediately. We are here to serve. Thanks a lot for raising this issue.

I m not putting any allegations dear I just raise some points .

Our effort should be that all users remain active. Even if he does the next post, he should be voted as catchup so that his trust in this platform remains.

You say right these days greeters do some other curation work so why not we assign
a team that only helps the new user with curating after their achievement is verified by greeters.

Even I saw that the sc09 account voting mana is 100% from last 2 hours

Conclusion

Sometimes some users do not get curation support due to late verification of their posts. For this, we can do that all the country representatives should mention in their weekly report the names of all those users whose posts were not verified and who did not get curation. So that we can make this platform even better with these small things.

For betterment of this platform I just start this thing by mentioning the user's in my weekly report you can check once link of my post

excelente informacion saludos y bendiciones buen trabajo.

I think newcomers should not rush to complete their next achievement task after their task is verified. Newcomers have 1 year to complete achievement task 1 to milestone 6 and compilation task, If they write 2 posts achievement task in a week it will cause them to miss the sc09 vote.

Newcomers can join other communities once they reach 1 verified to publish posts and comment on other users' posts. we will see newcomers who power up at least 50% liquidation

Sorry if I misunderstood the rules

can you explain more better?

Just a real quick observation :

The new idea of community curators voting without tracking hashtag did not go well at all. A lot of quality posts were skipped because the curators couldn't track very deep and easily as they use to.

Hope the steemit team will allow October curators to be tracking hashtag as they use to.

Cc: @steemitblog

The new idea is perfect and it's of great benefits to the authors. As a content creator, you should know how to play around with your hashtags and use them properly.

The curators are really trying in curating quality contents on different topics. Check the blog at large, you will understand what I'm talking about.

Judging from my point of view👌
Thanks!

Google is paying $27485 to $29658 consistently for taking a shot at the web from home. I joined this action 2 months back and I have earned $31547 in my first month from this action. I can say my life has improved completely! Take a gander at what I do...

Cheers to our team "Millionaire" we did it and this time we will work harder to achieve our target . Thankyou so much Steemit team for believing on us and giving us another chance in November.

Forgot to clarify in the post whether the clubs club5050-75-100 are relevant

In this opportunity I will prepare my application for this work, I would very much like to enlist myself among those selected.
Let's see what November brings :)

You are constantly increasing the number of SP and the number of reputation, if this continues, we will never be able to join the community creation.
