I'm new to Steem and what I see is that the website is very slow. Has it always been like that or is it being caused by something else?
It's not my internet though. All websites load normally except Steem.
I haven't noticed it being particularly slow, though sometimes when posting or commenting the connection seems to timeout and I need to refresh and try again. I'm a bit of a techie and I can tell you that because of the way networks operate it is possible for one site to load slowly and others just fine, entirely based on where you are located due to the routing of the network. So for example your connection might bounce between 20 different servers from your computer to the Steemit website and if just 1 of them is overloaded, it would slow your connection to the site. If you were to try from a different area, the network path could take an entirely different route and bypass that slow server and be just fine. Hope that makes sense. Best advice is to wait it out and see if it improves in 8-24 hours. If it's still slow, you could try using a VPS or connecting from a different location to troubleshoot. If you are familiar with DOS at all, you can use the command "tracert steemit.com" to pin point where the bottleneck is and consider ways to re-route the network connection.
