List of Investments we can do with Steem Cryptocurrency

in #steem6 years ago
In this post, I want to make a list of some of the most basic investments we can do with Steem (the Cryptocurrency). These are some of the things which almost anyone can do without such technical knowledge and with ease. Therefore, it will help you and many others who own some Steem but not sure what to do with it or what kind of investment to make with their Steem.

1. Power Up:

This is the first and a highly profitable hassle free investment one can make with their Steem. Powering up increases one’s influence on the Steemit community. The more Steem Power someone has, the more value your upvote will be. One can give their upvotes to quality post and support the community, this is called curation, and curators also receive a portion of the reward generated from their votes, or one can just vote for their own contents. The same also applies for down votes or flags, if you think a post is wrongful and has hate speech, discrimination, direct or indirect insults to a person or a community, you can protest against it by flagging such posts, the more Steem Power you have, the more influence it will have on your down votes. If you don’t know how to power up, leave a comment below and I will write back for you, and teach you how to Power up.

2. Delegate:

When you power up, you can delegate your Steem Power to another user. This means you are giving someone else the authority to use your Steem Power however they see it fit. You can delegate it to someone for free, or you can charge them specific fees for using your Steem Power. Delegations are just like renting your house or property to someone else, they do not become the owner of your asset but they can temporarily use it, once the delegation duration is over, your Steem Power will return back to you, or if you want you can also cancel the delegation anytime you want. If you cancel it before the agreed time, then you will have to give a refund (in case if you are charging fees). If you don’t know how to give delegations then comment below and I will teach you the process. If you want to rent some SP and don’t know how, you can also comment below if you want me to teach you how you can rent delegated Steem Power and from where.

3. Exchange:

You can also exchange your Steem for any other Cryptocurrency if you want. You can do it very easily. I already made a post about it, how you can convert your SBD into BTS. Just check out my blog page, and I will also post a link at the end of this article. However, you should conduct proper research before you make an exchange, what I'm saying is please do not waste your valuable Steem if you plan to exchange it for any ShitCoins, rather study properly and then invest in a powerful coin. I'm talking about trustworthy currency like Bitcoin or Ethereum, or even better if you just skip this method and power up like how I mentioned on my first point.

4. Cash Out:

You can very easily just cash out your Steem into real world money and spend it however you want. If you have powered up your Steem and you want to cash it out, then you can do so, but you will have to wait a bit, because you need to power down first, powering down takes 13 weeks, and in every 7 days you will receive 1/13 of the total Steem, so you can just cash out it weekly with a total of 13 installments. If you are confused write a comment below and I will answer your questions. And by cashing out your Steem, you can investment that money into some other businesses or trade opportunities. However, it would be great if you use that cash into buying a new computer, laptop, smartphone which you will use to spend more of your time on Steemit, or a camera which you will use to capture photos or make videos and when post them to Steemit. We do talk about adding value to this platform, yes powering up or curating quality contents are not the only way one can add value, you can actually also add value to Steemit by cashing out your Steem and use that money in other ways as I mentioned here. You can also print t-shirts with Steemit logo on it and give it to others for free.

5. Day Trade:

This is one of my most favorite things to do. It can be profitable or often you can make loss if you make some incorrect decisions, it also depends a bit on your luck, time, current market conditions, and also outside forces such as politics and government regulations, and once in a while when trading platforms gets hacked. But Day Trading, in my opinion is the most profitable method, and with high profits come higher risk. I will not encourage you to immediately start day trading, but before you start, better take some sort of training or education on how it works. So, what makes Day Trading so profitable? The volatility of Steem or any Cryptocurrency makes Day Trade very amazing. First of all, I want you to regularly check the price updates of Steem. You will notice how volatile it can get within just one day. You will notice at one moment the price is $4 and next moment its $3 and then its $5 and so on. What I’m saying is how the price fluctuates so much within the same day. If the price of Steem is $3 right now, then you can buy 10 Steem for $30, wait till it goes to $5 and you sell it for $50 and then wait when the price falls to $4.5 or $4 or $3 and buy that Steem back. This sound so easy in theory, but it’s a bit complicated when you do this in real, but if you invest your time and give your best effort, you will be able to learn so much and when you start having experiences you will be able to tell at what price you should buy, and at what price you should sell and take your profits. There are also seasonal events, for example the Bull and Bear of the market. But with time and efforts, you will learn all about that. People Day Trade in many industries, such as the stock market or the option trades, however the fun with Cryptocurrency is that the market never closes and it keeps on operating 24/7 and it’s a global market, but for those who trades in Stock Exchange can only trade during the working hour, there is a market closing time and an opening time, the market also remains closed on weekends or on other holidays, but crypto market is just so great that it never sleeps. When people from the West are Sleeping, people from the East are awake and vice-versa. It’s a truly global market

Conclusions:

These are some of the things I suggest what we can do with our Steem. You can earn Steem by participating in the Steemit community, or you can directly buy Steem using your personal money. If you have any questions about this article, use the comment section below and I will answer you, however please do not abuse the comment section writing something silly.
