Think this got off topic a bit. The response was to btc being the "gold standard" of main trading pairs. And our response of STEEM being that "gold standard" of main trading pairs moving forward. Primarily on FreedomEx.io
I understand Steem being the main ideal pair, I think it great. It great to see it BCH once tried it but pretty much failed with Coinex...
I think you guys have a shot but the fact you didn't add a btc main pair is pretty much what got to me. It pretty much a well known brand and I asked for a good reason for it but the response you gave made you had a personal grudge against bitcoin. Is their a real real reason why BTC pair wasn't added or just bc naw we don't feel like it? I can give some reason why it a great idea to have it even if you don't want to. You don't need to make it focus of the exchange...
It being slow and expensive to transact are just the facts. No grudge there. Having it as a main pair doesnt fit into our business model and the revolutionary things FreedomEx.io will be announcing.

Using Liquid and RSK along with LN it fast and cheap to transact. It might not be your cup of tea and the free market can decide who "wins" or not. Bitcoin can coexist and exist as Gold which shares the same qualities as one.
Having a main pair does fit if you want value and alteast people outside from other exchanges to come to Freedomex.
Alot of traders don't prefer bitcoin bc they need to...
Bitcoin is just a trusted brand to use and more secure to use, more liquidity doesn't hurt either.
Alot of trading bots program bitcoin.
I not saying Freedomex to focus on bitcoin I'm just saying the benifts to add Bitcoin as a main pair outwiegh the costs for now. There is a reason why Eth people made WBTC lel
Please consider not for your personal reason but the practical reason. Who says you need to keep bitcoin in as a main pair forever?

@FreedomEx does realize Bitcoin can be transferred faster than Steem and still at a 0 fee correct? Since Bitcoin relies on UTXO sets you can transfer those outputs instantaneously without need to use the bitcoin network. Steem requires a 3 second blocktime to complete a transfer but you still would be best served to waiting for 20 blocks to become settled. If Bitcoin is slow then I'd love to know what secret skunkworks that FreedomEx.io will be announcing....
From the economic stand point STEEM is more viable then BTC will ever be with whatever upgrade they make to it.
The reason people think BTC has more value because its deflationary is because alt right is strong here.

All currencies can be a store of value doesn't mean it is a good one or should be one.
Economically Bitcoin is still better but being a store of value itself is not really great for long term adoption.
Network Effect. Security. Code locked in. Inflation low to zero. And a couple of more. Not saying steem is bad just Bitcoin is better for it.
And I'm ok with it. I love seeing apps being built on Steem and giving people new ways to earn.
Steem is probably more secure then Bitcoin due to DPOS. The network effecr is due to BTC being first and bigger and the deflationary aspect doesnt mean much, if anything.
Btc being a deflationary currency is actually hurting its adoption greatly. Even gold isnt a deflationary asset and its a good store of value.
Add powering up to STEEM and you have something with a greater potential for adoption then BTC. And the currency that gets adopted first will be the one that will represent the best store of value.
Disagree. DPOS doesn't mean secure. DPOS has been show to run afoul to. BItcoin POW for now is more secure and more robust. Along with it massive full node network and drive to get it.

Disagree there are diff levels of adoption and diff level of Store of Value. Steem can be one but doesn't need to be a full blown one which is why I support Bitcoin and Steem at the same time.
