From the economic stand point STEEM is more viable then BTC will ever be with whatever upgrade they make to it.
The reason people think BTC has more value because its deflationary is because alt right is strong here.
All currencies are "stores of value".
Not really.
All currencies can be a store of value doesn't mean it is a good one or should be one.
Economically Bitcoin is still better but being a store of value itself is not really great for long term adoption.

So you think Steem is a bad store of value? Give me one reason why you think that.

Network Effect. Security. Code locked in. Inflation low to zero. And a couple of more. Not saying steem is bad just Bitcoin is better for it.
And I'm ok with it. I love seeing apps being built on Steem and giving people new ways to earn.
Steem is probably more secure then Bitcoin due to DPOS. The network effecr is due to BTC being first and bigger and the deflationary aspect doesnt mean much, if anything.
Btc being a deflationary currency is actually hurting its adoption greatly. Even gold isnt a deflationary asset and its a good store of value.
Add powering up to STEEM and you have something with a greater potential for adoption then BTC. And the currency that gets adopted first will be the one that will represent the best store of value.

Disagree. DPOS doesn't mean secure. DPOS has been show to run afoul to. BItcoin POW for now is more secure and more robust. Along with it massive full node network and drive to get it.
Bitcoin being deflationary is what makes it so good it hurts adoption for everyone but for storing value it good. Gold too will fall as a Sov due it massive inflation it will get. We just have gotten to mining it yet.
Disagree there are diff levels of adoption and diff level of Store of Value. Steem can be one but doesn't need to be a full blown one which is why I support Bitcoin and Steem at the same time.
