While much effort has been focused in developing a range of brand new apps from scratch, an exponential growth in Steem’s user base would be much more likely to occur through partnerships with other platforms and businesses who’ve already spent years growing their userbases.
Basically you are thinking outside of the box. We have been focusing so much in STEEM, Steemit and in every subject around our platform that we are not focusing ourselves in practical solutions as partnerships and to take advantages of using other websites and platforms knowledge and resources. I can see it pretty clear now.
We must think out of the box, We have to see beyond all of this. This is the only way to really engage people and take Steem Blockchain into a whole new level.
We have a slogan, a popular one between steemers right? Anytime we say bring value to the community, posts something that worth for millions of users. Well, it is time to open our circle of action and focus on the rest of the world.
I have not much SP to support this great post but I will give you an upvote with my community account @steemitvenezuela as well. We only curate Spanish content but this is needed to be heard and sometimes in life exceptions needs to be done.

Musing.io is a good version of it but let us be truthful, can they boast of such amount of users currently, Can they boast of beating Quora any time soon?. Well to me, this is indeed a good point to start, i think steem need to partner with such power house lo. Their users will be happy to engage with the community if they see they will be getting such little reward, at least they are not been paid for doing anything with Quora for now.
But if musing.io can make things better, then no problem. The steem eco system will grow into something much greater and we will be occupying our real price position. Just take a look at what @steemhunt is doing, rewarding users with hunt token, another fresh idea we havent seen before.
All same, quora could have added 190millions users to get our server bumping up lol. I love the idea you raise, i wished is been looked into or can we mention some persons name who can convey this upward? @rok-sivante
I had to edit this again, let me make this last point, what i know is that Quora will add new 190 million users to our database/platform while mising.io will see a lot of old steem users re-signing up and that might only leave few new users coming in. So quora is better and preferable. Just like dlike, steemhunt and co, all might get same large amount of users compared to new users.

What an amazing topic to contribute to . I must say if steem blockchain is gonna win it’s 190 million users. It’s not gonna do that by replicating everything that was but actually collaborate with the existing ideas that had already gathered much audience and by the time the audience see what steem could offer then there will be a reroute of the audience to itself. I think collaboration is just right for now and we all have another thing which is a responsibility to all . Promotions , promoting the platform and ideas
@rok-sivante, Yes, in my opinion you've touched the right point and some effective Partnerships can bring both the User Base and more exciting opportunities for the future. And for sure it's not easy because we are Decentralised so may be we will face some dynamics but in my opinion once the Craze of Steem will boost then in my opinion many platforms will going to come forward and in my opinion listing of Steem on NETCOINs will be one more addition which will bring more Visibility.
Steem already has its own versions of quora called Musings.io. I think partnerships are a lot difficult to establish than building from scratch without compromising the decentralized nature that we pride ourselves for. That said, it will be nice to explore potential ways we can partner with others as the potential is great.
BTW Rok, have you voted to get steem listed on Netcoin yet?

I agree with you; while I love steemit, there are some VERY MAJOR issues with the platform that will detract a large chunk of users. Especially if the intent is to draw in the owners of other platforms to incorporate with steem.
There's a fair to midland chance that the owners of that platform will get a decrease in profits.
It's not quite analogy, but I'm aware of cases where youtube creators were making thousands per month in videos, and so they start posting here and they get to add an extra 50cents a month... youtube banned their videos so now they are resorting to the donation model.
How would you convince a platform with hundreds of millions of users to combine forces if it means that their venture is now LESS profitable??
Great idea! I think that these partnerships will become more available as the STEEM blockchain continues to demonstrate the flexibility and scalability features it has relative to other blockchains. The ecosystem has expanded beyond a blogging site but remain a great social experiment so it is really how we demonstrate this has long term potential to develop on. I think Hivemind and SMTs could be the developments needed to expand more.

There is a lot Steem can do. It's just up to Ned. We need some serious updates on how steemit will be advertised.
