Conclusion:
For STEEM/BTC trades use Poloniex for traditional exchange and Shapeshift for instant exchange.

I think what this really shows is that the instant exchange is very expensive for Steem Dollars.
Based on these figures Changelly Steem offers to buy Steem 2% under the exchange market rate. Acceptable if you want it fast.
However for Steem Dollars, Blocktrades is offering 13.8% under the exchange market rate. So if you can sell those of Bittrex or Poloniex - you're much better off.
http://Changelly.com takes only 0.5% exchange commission plus regular blockchain withdraw transaction fee (for BTC is 0.0002). Please, try to calculate for 10 STEEM, and you will see the difference!

http://Changelly.com takes a reasonable 0.5% fee for each exchange. Plus regular blockchain withdraw transaction fee, here is 0.0002 BTC.
It seems, that other similar exchanges, doesn't consider withdraw commission. That's why better to compare rates for higher volumes. For example one of our users, @fav make a calculation for 10 STEEM, and Changelly shows best exchange rate: https://steemit.com/steem/@fav/let-s-check-the-fees-converting-steem-to-bitcoin-asap
@changelly thanks for taking the time to review our first contribution and provide constructive feedback.
Both of your suggestions will be considered, there is real merit to using higher volume to reflect accurate real world trade scenarios so the fee doesn't obscure the actual price. Future analysis of exchanges we provide will include the fee adjustment and the larger volume transactions.
