2. Steemit Development Incentive Program
Since Steemit Inc announced the details of the new $500K Development Incentive Program last week there has been a steady flow of pitches, proposals and suggestions.

Members of the community have until 15 October to put forward their suggestions for improvements to steemit.com.

The program is being overseen by a team of five top witnesses - @future.witness (@hightouch), @steemchiller, @justyy, @smt-wherein (@iguazi123) and @dev.supporters (@donekim, @glory7 & @wonsama).
After 15 October these five Community Developer Representatives will sift through all the proposals from developers and the suggestions from the community to start matching developers with suggestions and getting development underway.

@xpilar has extended the closing date for the Steem Video Contest he is running until 20 October.
