What Science Does Not Want You To Know About Placebo Effect

A few years ago I saw a doctor sarcastically laughing after uttering the words of which is known as Placebo Effect.

This term is prevalent during experimental drug trials or the so called human trials.

Whenever there is a movie about some kid with some rare disease and there is an experimental drug available the parents will be up for it but what they don't know is that not all of those who will be subjected to treatment will be given the real drug. Some of the subject will be given a placebo. But what is strange about this is the fact that those subjects who were given placebo are being cured by the placebo and some of those who are getting the real drug are not.

During experimental treatments placebo will be administered intravenously to those subjects who were designated as placebo recipients. The saddest part is when medical science tries to insinuate to the general public that placebo is as real as a unicorn. Even though they couldn't explain how placebo effect works. Which is why globally there is always this skepticism surrounding medical science because they can't explain placebo effect among other things.

So even if Medical Science and Pharmacology join forces to sweep this embarassment under the rug. Two hypothetical questions will seep out of it. One, when I take in the real drug and then I got cured. Is it because of the chemical compound inside the so called real drug or is it because of placebo effect. Two, what if the foundation of Medical Science and Pharmacology is placebo effect itself? There lies the real danger. Are they no worse than quacks?
