Roof over our heads with Steem!

We are steem, and I think it’s the right time to tell the world about so many things that Steem can help them accomplish, my story might not mean a lot to some, but we can never rule out the fact that human needs are relative. I joined steem in 2017, and before then, I didn’t know anything about blockchain nor crypto currencies, I was just newly married to my lovely wife with my two boys, actually we were living in small state capital in the eastern part of Nigeria my country.

As my family started growing, need for adjustments started following, we started looking for space, a better and bigger apartment, Nigeria is a country that is blessed with natural resources but mismanagement from our centralized system of government could not allow the masses to life a fare life, high house rent, high utility bills without infrastructures, no constant electricity. Considering all these, I and my family decided to step up our investment strategies so that we can meet up with our obligations and to also cut some expenses as a growing family.

I am someone that believe in self dependent, I finds it too difficult asking others for providence, whatever that I need, I prefer making a move, I don’t need to become a responsibility for another.

Because of inflation hitting My country left right and center, it became necessary that we should stop spending huge amount of fiat on house rent, we were left with two options; either to go stay in the village where I’ve built a family house or to start all over in the city, which should start with purchasing of land, and again start building.

Steem helped us to start building our own house.

We managed to raised $5, 300 for a plot of land with all necessary documentation, we obtain from the ministry of land and urban development all the necessary documents and plans.

with support from Steem community, we’re putting up our house.

Steem is bigger than a blockchain, our strength is in ourself as a community, it’s wrong to stereotype steem for what we think or know, steem evolves with time, my family outmost need become a roof over our head, and here, Steem is helping us to achieve our necessity.

The purpose isn’t to raise fund!

Please this post is not written so that steem community will start to raise fund for our house even though I know that Steem community doesn’t look down on such matters arising, rather this post is my way of explaining little what Steem mean to my family at this present moment; my lovely wife and my two innocent and loving kids!

We are taking it gradually, and we’re happy that Steem is helping us out from landlords problems. I think my children deserve a quiet life and a home that they can call theirs no matter how small it is. This is one of our steem projects, this one is our short term steem project, our long term steem project would be to power up our account to the moon so that we can through curation help others who may be in need of basic life needs. We’re also planning to boost our farming with Steem blockchain, my wife is also working on helping poor families through supporting their children education with Steem technology. We’ve talked to some schools, and some of those schools has opened account with steem, I guess this should be a discussion for another post.

What my family need right now is shelter over our head, someone somewhere might have food as their pressing need, some are wars and famine, so many things. I still remember our Venezuela 🇻🇪 brothers and sisters who are going through tough times.

Steem can help solve many problems that are facing lives in our world today.

I grateful to Steem communities, I must confess that Steem is one of the best experiences of my life, I want to thank God first for allowing all these. My thanks also goes to all heads behind the progress of our amazing Network of Steem. Indeed Steem is like an elephant that blindfolded men are trying to describe!

No one can really say where Steem is taking us, but we all are sure that steem is taking us to a better world of love, freedom and happiness.

We’re open to everyone and to every profession that may want to build on steem just like I’m doing right now.
