USING STEEMINVITE TO ONBOARD MY FRIEND, ANA,TO THE STEEM BLOCKCHAIN

in #steem8 years ago (edited)

It was exciting to read about Witness @pharesim's steeminvite tool from his post on steeminvite.com last month. We all know how much unhappiness is felt after having done #steem-promo, whether it was one on one or in a large group. After such events, people want to register immediately. Of course, the promoter help prospects through the process of registration, but these can't get on board because of delay in account approval.
In the past, I used anonsteem service by Witness @someguy123 to create new accounts. Now, I have employed the steeminvite service, to invite Maja's mum, Ana. Maja's account would be ready soon and hopefully, I'll be introducing her and Ana (her mother) to the steemit community.

FIRST STEP

Head over to https://www.steeminvite.com/. It will redirect you to sign in through steemconnect and you'll get something like this below. Ps: Note that it costs 0.2 steem & 29 delegated steem power (DSP) to create a new account.

SECOND STEP

After your friend or family member has accepted the invite, it looks like this

THIRD STEP

The creation of a new steem account is finalized by entering your active key in the field as shown below

Note: If you are powering down, steeminvite will not work for you, I think.

Have you used steeminvite to onboard your family and friends before? Let me know in the comments section. Thank you.

Hello @maryfavour

Happy Sunday. Thanks for this write up. This is very educational and would be a great help to most of us who are actively engaged with Steemit.com promotion. Pls how long will the delegated steem power last with @pharesim before being returned to the owner?

I am going to have to document the link to this article to be used when necessary.

@eurogee for @euronation

Thanks for your contribution, @eurogee. Happy Sunday to you too!

The 29 delegated steem power (DSP) is not with @pharesim. Through the use of the steeminvite service, the one who is inviting another willingly (delegator) delegated 29 DSP minimum to his/her friend (delegatee). The delegator can take back DSP at anytime from the delegatee employing the vessel app version 0.0.7 designed by Witness @jesta. That is how DSP works generally. It is the same principle that applies here. Witness @pharesim advises that the delegator should give delegatee sometime to at least find his feet before taking back his delegation. Hope this explanation helps. Cheers.

Very well. Thanks

Do you know how I get back the SP I delegated through Steeminvite for friends to open their accounts? its been more than a month and they can already do their posts without my delegation... Thanks!

Sure, @lavidaesunviaje! Let me try to do a video on how to undelegate steem power (SP). Just note that after undelegating your SP, it would take one (1) week for it to return to your account. Please, look out for the video. I'll probably upload it on dlive.io. Cheers.

Looking for it... have you done it already?

This looks good, no more waiting to get an account created. I know some newbies may likely lose interest before an account is finally ready to be used.

Glad to see you, @greenrun. I like what these steem witnesses are doing to help hasten the process of onboarding newbies.

I know some newbies may likely lose interest before an account is finally ready to be used.

They actually lose interest, after having waited for a long period for their accounts to be approved. The initial enthusiasm dissapear as the days go by. Your support is appreciated. Thank you.

This has drastically reduced the wait time. 0.2 steem seems very reasonable for this service. I'm happy seeing all these developments on steemit blockchain

From what I see on steemd, the registration fee for many witnesses is 0.2 Steem (Hope I understood the numbers well). Interestingly, @pharesism's witness (no. 17, on the top 20 list) reg. fee is 0.3 . Like you've rightly stated, I'm happy too to see these developments.

I'm not of aware of that, I know I got 57,000.000000 Vests (approximately 27 DSP then) from @steem when I registered with 0.5 steem paid by same @steem

I have done this for 3 people now. 2 first ones never used their account for anything, but I do hope your invited one will use account for good :)

I understand your concern, @apsu. My prospects are in dire need to earn a living, so that might make them act differently from yours. People who are comfortable might not really see the need to come blog on the steem blockchain, except they are onboard as investors. I appreciate your comment. Steem on!

Nice post ma

everyone should use it :D

I think it's impossible for you not to understand anything, @red-rose. Stop spamming my blog!
