I could say that if Steem was a painted portrait, it would be a masterpiece made by Rembrandt or Da Vinci -last one is most assertive-. Things like this must be awarded instead of being blamed. Haters from traditional currencies defends their selfish interests but the change is unavoidable. Steemit has born to be a blockchain masterpiece that defined de descentralization of the internet media and is evolving the wat to descentralize applications and empowering mass creativities.
I am one of the people who believe strongly that Steem will be the most used currency in the next decade, or in the odd case -if this platform dissapear-, its concept will be inherited by many companies related to social networks. It is not evident then that the current social network scheme, led by Facebook is rotting?Nor is it evident that what Instagram offers is restrictive? Let's talk about YouTube: How much effort should an individual make to be taken into account so that his channel can be monetized? Much has to be invested to promote a blog beyond the word of mouth or 'spamming' to other users. You must be sponsored by some big shot to achieve what users like Lele Pons or Kylie Jenner do in their ways.
On the other hand, in this platform everything is decentralized, it is the people who monetize the work of other people; and even, they have the advantage of having opportunities to build decentralized applications and thus contribute to the ecosystem in which this masterpiece is developed itself.
I can't stop admiring what the people behind this masterpiece did to make this a community that is gaining strength every day. I only hope that within a few years the Steem platform will allow itself to create operating systems for both desktop and mobile computers. As well as search engines that allow breaking the monopoly imposed by Google
