STEEM in the Lead at #1 on the Netcoins Contest Again, But is Vote Farming Going to Beat Us with INS Gaining?
As the social community of humans on STEEM has managed to overtake VERGE and their vote-farming in the last hours of the contest, and new contender has overtaken VERGE with what seems like their own vote-farming. We're at over 17,000 votes, over 3,000 ahead of VERGE, but only just over 1,000 ahead of INS.
This morning VERGE was 1,000 votes ahead, but we drove ahead and beat them to regain the #1 spot again. But then INS overtook VERGE. The speed at which INS has climbed in the last two days is very suspicions and seems obviously inauthentic to me. It smells of vote farming.
I keep refreshing, and seeing this INS coin climb up and up, and I think they're going up faster than STEEM. There are just over 4 hours left in this contest, and I fear that this INS coin will overtake STEEM as most of the Steem community has applied their votes and no more votes are added. That seems to be what has happened the past two nights as VERGE overtook STEEM by morning. Now it's INS that's the threat with it's vote-farms.
Is is supposed to be a cryptocurrency and blockchain that promises reinvent the grocery industry.
INS is developing a platform to enable direct interaction between brands and consumers. Reaching the next generation audience via data-driven mass personalisation. The team consists of a large global collective of professionals with solid industry experience.
Do they really have the comparable community in the crypto world to rival a social platform like Steem?

The structure of the contest was rife for abuse like this. @edicted suggested a far superior contest that any of these legitimate platforms would be interested in using; having anyone that will vote for their contest create a crypto wallet with said company and store a tiny amount of currency on there. This would ensure that the users who are voting aren't a massive bot or vote farming operation. Granted this method has it's drawbacks as well, the numbers would be a lot less than the numbers we are seeing but that's also not a bad thing.
I think that we showed some strength but we also showed that there are a lot of people on the platform who aren't really interested in these types of contests. There are certainly some things to be hesitant about such as what the company is going to do with our information.

I don't know where INS is getting votes from, I can sort of get there's a community behind Verge, but I've never heard of INS until they appeared on the leaderboard

How can that be, when we have around 60.000 active users?
Not everyone is interested in voting just like IRL when elections barely hit 50% participation and INS is clearly cheating, just like PAC coin before them.

This INS is for sure buying votes - this growth is not possible by natural human votes. Hope the final results will reflect cheating on any site.
