Should Steemit Shutdown....?

Is very pathetic to hold a stick for a snake to bit you. Why am i saying this? Am not a fun of this kind of post but i must share my experience to help others. I waked up this morning, exercising my only franchise that pay my bills; the financial franchise on steemit. I came across a post "Goodbye Steemit! 🤙 Thank You Minnows" by @lifeinspired,  so i passed by to read the details. All that @lifeinspired is saying is that, his post attract low rewards so he is quitting. And the fact is, he has deleted all his previous post. He has given points backing his reasons for quitting. He is going home with the statement, "Steemit just isn't the social network I thought it would be". This prompt me to make this post.

Majority of the people on this platform face this problems of low rewards and  put the blame on @ned and his team. The fact is, we lack education on this platform. Many do not read and understand the welcome statement nor Steem/Steemit white paper.  I was a victim till i tried to read more and understand this platform and am still learning.

Steemit platform is unique and successfully created as a social  network by @ned and his team and there is no doubt about that. If your post is not rewarding, then check yourself by asking yourself this basic questions.

1. Do I have Steem power? 

2. Have i promoted my post?

3. Have i voted for a post today?

4. Is my content salable?

What makes Steemit social network is the vote from individuals on a post. Post rewards also depends on the vote value from individuals. Vote value depends on Steem power. So as your account is successfully created and you failed to powerup and i equally did so, are you expecting my vote to give you high reward on your post?

Some Steemains also abuse their voting power ending up with valueless vote. Example, someone with 15SP votes on your post at 31% voting power, add no value to your post.

And he replied by saying;

The fact is people invest in their post at facebook for likes. What is wrong for investing in your post for rewards that can pay your bills at the end of the month? This platform is unique and perfect. Steemit witnesses are doing great. The problem here is people acting ignorantly and do not take it as their responsibility to buy Steem power and vote on other people's post too.

The social network holds if each and everyone here power up and bare the responsibility of voting for others. Do not expect @ned to bare the responsibility to vote your post. Minnow helpers are doing good but, i will advice them to educate steemains to power up at least some minimum value before they can support them. This will clear that conscience of people quitting base on low rewards on their post. 

Steem blockchain is doing amazing. Rapid growth with great platforms like @dtube, @dlive, @utopian-io, @steepshot, @dsound and much more. If your article is not salable, then post videos @dlive or images @steepshot. There is no excuse quitting Steemit platform.   

My account statistics is not encouraging but this month is the second time i paid my bills with Steem Dollar. I lost my job and run into debt, so am actually broke financially but am still earning from my 0.01 value of vote, comments and my personal post.  My wife will soon post pictures @steepshot as am looking forward to get her a new phone since armed robbers took her phone. All my expenses comes from Steemit account. So if Steemit shut down, most of us will be in hell. Much love
