I agree that the lack of education is a big problem. I see posts in which people ask where to start pass by every day.
Steemit does have a steep learning curve, and it requires dedication and hard work to get somewhere.

There are a number of initiatives set up by individuals to help those who are new to the platform, which I think is great.

Also, as an answer to all those ‘help’ post, I’ve just written a post about the SteemIt FAQ-page. It contains loads of useful information, but up until yesterday I didn’t even know it existed :-;
