Passive Investing With Steemit

The more I talk about Steemit, the more I'm coming to understand that not a lot of people are aware that as Steem Power holders that they can be earning passive income while simultaneously helping out the Steemit community.

What is this you say? Yes, it is true. Instead of having to run around the rat race of timing your upvotes in order to maximize your voting power or trying really hard to find good content to upvote just to help curate, you can be sitting back and allowing the most active users of the community to enjoy the benefits of your Steem Power delegation.

It's really quite simple. One of our local Steemit 'witnesses', @jerrybanfield, has even made a tutorial to show you how to accomplish this. He also turned his account into an automated voting bot that shares half of the proceeds with @budgets, which is budget proposal fundraising program to further the development of Steemit. Even with this profit sharing, Steem Power delegating investors can STILL earn passive income that returns on their investment in double-digit yields (~30%-50%).

Now isn't that an enticing yield for doing no work at all....? It's like becoming a masternode without the restrictive entry costs or need to always be running a server somewhere (since this is all happening in the background on the blockchain on its own). Best of all, with some bots, you can start with nearly any amount of Steem Power you so desire...

I have delegated 100 SP to smartsteem recently. And while I enjoyed the weekly payout of about 0.5 SBD, I would much rather prefer to earn SP than SBD.
I had looked at Jerry's proposal but shied away from it thinking I didn't have enough SP yet to make it work. Would you suggest trying out Banfield's bot for earning SP then?

Should have my delegation back here in like 2 or 3 days.
Cheers for the reminder

Regardless of which bot you choose to support the primary currency of upvoting bots will remain SBD. While it is true that some bots do offer Steem payouts, by and large expect to receive more SBD then you would steem.

Thank you for the info.
I have this 'curse' because when I got started and earned my first SBDs the exchange ratio to steem was 5.5 : 1, and I figured that would be normal. hehe.
Guess I'd do well to let go of that...

You think SBDs will drop back to their 1 $ level soon with steem remaining high?
Should probably exchange them as long as the ratio is still halfway bearable. Would really pain me to get 0.1 steem for 1 sbd eventually ;)
