STEEM, the Cat With Nine Lives

As a matter of fact, Steem may go back to even 10 cents or below. However, the truth remains that Steem will never die - it is that proverbial cat with nine lives.

There is an old English proverb which states that "A cat has nine lives. For three he plays, for three he strays, and for the last three he stays".

Although in reality a cat only has one life like the rest of us, we cannot overemphasize the strength and agility of cats. For instance, cats always land on their feet and mostly do survive, unlike most mammals, falling from great heights.

Therefore, the myth that a cat has nine lives has endured and, if you ask me, justifiably so. Similarly, Steem has proven overtime to be a kind of cat with nine lives. It has survived all the punches from the bear market and erratic actors.

I am writing this because following the declining price of Steem, a couple of people are saying that Steem is dead already and is only awaiting a final burial.

In fact, some have speculated that the moment Dan Larimer left Steem marked the beginning of the end of Steem. A few even went further to declare that EOS means the End Of Steem.

Well, Steem has remained even more valuable and potent, except that you make your assessment of value based on prices. Most times, prices have never told the complete truth about the value of a token, especially in the cryptosphere.

To even talk about price, Steem presently sits at 17 cents from an all-time high of about $7.3, which is not the worst coin in the top 100. Those who are familiar with the price action of Steem very much know that Steem has recovered well in the past.

For example on July 19th 2016, from a high of $4.3, Steem sharply fell to a low of 7 cents on March 9th 2017. At 7 cents and with all hope almost lost, Steem started an historical run that took it to $7.3 on January 3rd 2018. That's over 10000% gain for the few who bought the dip and sold at the climax of the price movement.

Now we have Steem at 16 cents again. Nobody can tell exactly if we have hit the bottom or not. As a matter of fact, Steem may go back to even 10 cents or below. However, the truth remains that Steem will never die - it is that proverbial cat with nine lives.

And so, instead of grumbling about the crumbling price of Steem, I would rather continue to buy Steem once my buy target is breached. I will continue to buy, accumulate, and earn Steem until the time becomes ripe for the harvest.

Until I come your way again, I wish you a FULL STEEM AHEAD.

I use STEEM because it allows me to interact on the blockchain with everything I do here. (Splinterlands, Blog, Music, Curate, Comment)

So the price does not affect what I can do on the Steem blockchain, and just in that it is valuable to me..

However, if the last low was 0.07 cents hopefully the next lowest possible point would be 0.14 cents.
