RE: Aaaand It Started: Another Nice STEEM Pump Going On As We Speak

in #steem6 years ago

Here is what I think, @dragosroua:

1. YouTube demonetization campaign hype & account creation issue...

Those YouTubers who get demonetized would move to dTube, thats for sure, just to try what the heck is this! But the benefit of moving to dTube is very overestimated, cause this kind of registration (some of my friends never got confirmation mail) is a complete turn-off. So don't be deceived by pink clouds of STEEM-coloured unicorns while this issue is unsolved.

The second concern is about not having ability to monetize your content in a long-term! Here is an example: I am motorcycle reviewer. I create videos about bikes/gear/stuff. So why the heck should I move to dTube or Steem if I'll get a reward after one week and that's all. No rewards after a single payout? Seriously? Will I consider dTube/STEEM as just another source of monetization/income? Maybe! But this kind of payout system, IMO, provokes to be opportunistic here. Quality content is not for short-term payouts.

But this is arguable cause this is blockchain, and I'm happy with the fact that everyone is using
the same set of rules, so we are on the same boat! I can live with that.

How this stuff will affect STEEM price?

STEEM token is surely has to be burned when the new account is created: more users, less supply (maybe). Less supply - possible price surge.

I will really evangelize STEEM everywhere when pewdiepie will move to dTube

If you know smth about account mining future, @dragosroua tell us more plz, cause I assume that's not gonna work (maybe I have a little information bout that). I'd be grateful so much for this info, you are witness - you know more!

2. The first wave of SMT's implementation gonna get us price surges, that's for sure!

Not sure bout how this gonna look like but "tokenization of da intanet" is overestimated too, IMO. Why should someone create a craptoken instead of using STEEM?

How this stuff will affect STEEM price?

Supply of STEEM token could decrease dramatically during the first wave of SMT's implementation. I think this is the main reason of STEEM's going to 15$.

3. This is cryptomadness. So it could be 30$+ for 1 STEEM. Why? WHY THE HELL NOT?

Cryptoawareness of people is rising day after day, so STEEM is supplied with natural userbase rise, just with time.

PLUS - more exchanges would probably list STEEM & SBD - more listings means more local price actions.

But more users = more posts = more reward in reward pool = SBD supply is rising and is going to 1$ where it should be. Or not.

IT IS MARKET WHO DECIDES WHERE THE PRICE IS GOING!!!!

Sort:

Well, damn what a response lol! While I see were your coming from, I can def see SBD at 7-10.00 + but again, I am going to ask WHY?

Why will #STEEM, be higher? I understand we all want it to be, but if I am calculating currently, majority of peoples holding not considering whales have SBD or STEEM? So does it just depend on volume, circulating supply, whale manipulation? What can it be? Why can it be? Well, its on the #blockchain, its transparent, what is the next? #SMT's? Idk how its going to play out other than, maybe some volume, but Idk how the use of SMT's instead of just Steem already would need to be created? Maybe I am not seeing the bigger picture when it comes to that!

I have over 700 #SBD in the internal market currently, from what I am hearing from you guys, your saying #SBD is going to the moon in comparison to #STEEM? @dragosroua @equites

Well, its on the #blockchain, its transparent, what is the next?

Yep, and zero fees. That's why STEEM looks neat overall - that the product which works right now out-of-the-box.

Why will #STEEM, be higher? I understand we all want it to be, but if I am calculating currently, majority of peoples holding not considering whales have SBD or STEEM?

Not gonna work for SBD, cause its supply is going to increase with time. Not sure about SBD demand increase, cause it has not so many use cases.
Maybe the best decision is to buy STEEM for SBD's and power up, cause it's kinda starts to work right when push the "Power Up" button. 700 STEEM- power would give an upvote worth 0,15$. 700SBD are just in the wallet and do nothing. Just think about it...
