China Still Rates Steem

China has released it's blockchain ranking list again and the highlight for me is looking where Steem is placed. Currently we hold the 4th spot which is fine as there is room for improvement. What it shows us is Steem is under performing in the markets and in my mind so undervalued. The three blockchains above Steem are all in the top 11 on Coin Market Cap with Steem in 4th ranked at 59. This doesn't make sense to me and this I feel will change over the coming years.
The rankings are tallied on certain scores and they are
1] Basic technology. Steem scored fairly well.
2] Applicability. Steem lost points here and scored poorly.
3] Creativity. Steem scored a middle of the road score on this one.
Steem is still in it's infancy and there is so much development that will still happen here as Dapps will be drawn by the community. The recent changes to the running costs is the key and developers will be drawn by that alone.
Around 12 months ago Steem was number one for technology and future development will bring this score up considerably. According to this index Steem needs to find 37 points to reach number one and that isn't a lot really, but an overall improvement of 25 percent.
With all the negativity around here I think it is important to highlight positives as things are not that bad. I see this as great news as this is not the finished article and there is a long road ahead.

Lol. I don't feel so bad now as I also hold Verge. One of the few coins that I do own and still think it has a possibility of doing ok eventually. Maybe not, but if you don't have any then you haven't lived.

I think it is great that it isn't as it doesn't show favoritism then. Tron is up there though close to number one. I think we have more room to improve than the others above us.

I was trying to find the Japanese one as well after seeing this and couldn't find it as a comparison. I wouldn't say it is good or bad, but it is still positive to be up fairly high.
Admittedly it is one of the better lists, better than Weiss, but I still find it too lacking to be of much use.

Mannnn, this is extremely bullish news for Steem!
Any news highlighting Steem is good news. I think they could have scored Steem higher on Applicability as this wasn't a good score at all. Will look to see what the score is next month and if there is any more improvements on the score.
Yeah obviously the scores didn’t really seem to match Steems use cases and whatnot... But at least it wasn’t biased due to our lack of substantial market cap. I feel like because we are ranked #60 almost no outlets really talk about us. But maybe if we were ranked 4 by market cap people would have no choice 😜

Makes sense to me that EOS is at the top. It is an awesome blockchain. I am excited to see Steem ranked so high. I definitely would not have guessed top 5!
