State of the STEEM... Continued | Fun Basic Market Overview - Mostly Beneficial for the New STEEMIT / Crypto Folks Arriving Daily.

Just a brief general overview - this is mostly for the new people arriving here daily who are learning. We were all there once ourselves, I keep saying.
I first started this series likely 15 mths ago or so, it is hard to always keep up with things or running series at times, so many thing to deal with daily in life and crypto as you know. If you search my name and the name, you will find a few of them for sure!
Here are a few from the last year and half of my State of the STEEM Series:

STEEM is doing actually well, when you consider the big market volatility daily.

Please note that most people in crypto tend to use CoinMarketCap.com for their info. Their charts started going down all the time in Q1-2018 so take note. They also removed a ton of Asian markets from the exchange volume in Q4-2017 with NO notice and it threw the market off for pricing in a large way.

At this time, out of the top 100 coins, STEEM is sitting 27th -- right around where it usually is in terms of the big coins:
The $STEEM currency is often performing better than the market average in a bad time!

When STEEM is down I think of this:
-- The currency is backed by US -- the people and community / content, which are the product or backing so to speak, we are doing OK!

The gold line there is the price relative to the Bitcoin price and has flattened out a bit, unlike the other lines you see.

This has really upset some people but I do not force my opinions on others, or need to communicate every detail of my life or issues, most people do not care anyways. I invested around 10 hours or more a day on Steemit most of my first 13 mths here, I just do not have that time in my life right now, and that includes for replies and voting/curation.
I have done my best, sorry if you do not understand like some are clearly having a problem with. It's a blogging platform, and I will do my best at everything, and to keep blogging.

Thanks for posting, and showing the growth of the platform. As a newbie I'm excited for the future of Steem.
I think Steem will always hold its value to some extent as it is so unique in how it operates, if you have uniqueness in anything in life its always going to put you one step ahead of the field. Long live Steemit!
