What should change the Steemit Team? My opinion.

Greetings,

Just saw a post from @pennsif in which we are invited to discuss about things should be. I saw it interesting so I wanted to share today my opinions on this matter.

The Club system

The clubs were a system that came to greatly encourage people to invest in SP. I consider that this initiative was a success, because most people created the habit of saving and I believe that any user who has already experienced the club system can understand very well how beneficial this is for the platform and for themselves. Despite the success I think that everything has an end, the only disadvantage of the clubs is that the users' wallet lost a lot of functionality due to the rigorous constant monitoring that the moderators apply to each user.

Steem, owns one of the most profitable wallets in the entire blockchain ecosystem. We have easy-to-remember usernames, free and no gas-charge transactions, and instant transactions, which allows merchants and individuals to mobilize assets very easily. However, with clubs, people are very limited because if you move assets in your wallet constantly, it is possible that this will damage your club status, so most users only make the transactions that are strictly necessary.

I think that the elimination of the club system would make way for all people to openly use their Steem wallets for commerce, which would encourage new people to buy the cryptocurrency. Of course, the smartest know that continuing to invest in SP is something that can change lives in the not-too-distant future.

Burnsteem25

The concept of this initiative is fine, however I think that the current application is not the most appropriate. For example, I recently asked my healing team who offers 5% more vote to people who set up 25% to @null that what was the point of doing that. People give up 25% of their rewards to receive ~17% more (5% extra vote) of their base vote, it's not something that mathematically makes sense.

5% does not have a significant impact on the reward of the authors and on the contrary, that voting power is being wasted that could be used to reward more people, which by the way there are quite a few out there. Setting to null should not have an incentive, on the contrary it should be something voluntary that people do when they really understand what they are doing. This situation of rewarding those who do it has caused people who create good content but who do not configure null to have much less visibility.

The concept of the initiative is good, but I think it has become a little fanatical, so I personally would recommend continuing with it but not prioritizing it so much.

Engagement Challenges

The idea of the weekly challenges is an idea that has kept the community active for several years already, the problem is that many of the challenges that are carried out do not represent any challenge, although this already falls more on the communities that are selected and I am really happy that this last season the Steemit team has chosen to request at least three initial ideas before selecting someone to make sure that there is at least a minimum of quality in the challenges that will be created.

I think it would be good to continue a few more seasons following that last strategy and refine details as the activity develops, so I think it is on a very good track and could once again become an interesting challenge for all users.

Newcomers Achievements

The system of achievements of this community is one of those systems again that worked very well at the beginning and that helped many people to start this adventure through the platform, however like everything I think it has become obsolete.

To begin with, I think that user verification should not take much more than a day, I am aware of the large number of fake accounts that are currently being created, however I think this would be solved through a verification system through Video calls. Perhaps the Newcomers team should reorganize according to the languages they master, and start serving new users directly through Discord.

Basically, users would schedule a meeting by video call that would not last more than five minutes in which it would be verified that the person who is entering is real and would be given the green light to make the achievements in the community once the call was approved.

With this simple verification system, users could be activated more quickly and efficiently, because if a user has to stay active for several weeks without guarantees that their presentation will be approved, it is something that will undoubtedly discourage more than one.

I also think that something that should be addressed is the content of the achievements, currently I think that they promote tools that are already obsolete in the community, this type of achievement should be updated to publicize the tools that are currently most used among all people.

Community Curators

I think that about the curators of the community I don't have much more to say, I think this is one of the most balanced systems there is because the community has the ability to give votes to other people so the rewards are distributed much better thanks to the wide scope that is had through these teams.

Steem Reps

I think that Steem representatives should be seen as the spokespersons for a class section, who have the ability to support their classmates when required and expose problems to teachers if they exist.

The representatives are the Connection of the community with the Steemit team, so operating under the concept of spokespersons is something very successful, since it is necessary that there be people capable of listening to the community and transmitting messages to the Steemit team.

Booming

I think that without the support of Booming the communities would not have much to offer, plus it is also one of the systems that has lasted the longest over time and no wonder, I think the rules are fair and the initiative works quite well.

I read the entire post and I agree with your entire post.

We are the hope!

Saludos
