# STEEM EVM Update:New Discord Bot & Enhanced Community Tools

The Steem Virtual Machine (SVM) continues to demonstrate exceptional stability, having now crossed 140,000 blocks with zero downtime. Today, I am excited to introduce a new tool designed to make interacting with the testnet easier and more accessible for everyone: the EVM Assistant Bot on our Discord server.

Introducing the EVM Assistant Bot
To streamline community support and provide real-time network data, I have deployed a custom bot in our Discord channel. This bot serves as a central hub for faucet requests, balance checks, and validator information.

Available Commands

!wallet | !wallet | Shows the bot's faucet addresses (0x and steem1...) and current STEEM balance. |
!balance | !balance <address> | Checks the balance of any provided address (supports both EVM and Bech32 formats). |
!validators | !validators | Displays a table of all validators, including their status, stake share, and commission. |
!status | !status | Provides a full chain snapshot: latest block, avg block time, total txs, and bonded stake %. |
!faucet | !faucet <address> | Sends test tokens to your address. (1,000 STEEM for users, 5,000 STEEM for Validators). |
!hi / !ping | !hi / !ping | Basic connectivity checks (restricted to EVM Assistant role). |
Faucet Rules:
- One claim per Discord account and one per address every 24 hours.
- The bot prevents double-dipping by tracking both address formats.
- All replies include a footer reminding users that these are Testnet values with 0 real-world value.

The blockchain remains robust and healthy as we continue to refine the infrastructure.

A dedicated bucket of 5,000,000 SHERPA tokens will be distributed equally among all validators who join and remain active prior to August 1, 2026.
