It Can Be Revived And Restored IV.

The last post, I shared the story of some friends who got tired of their friend’s situation and took the needed step. The same can be said about blind Bartimaeus. As a blind man, he is supposed to live in a colony with his fellow blind men, but he was ‘mad’ enough to desire something better. He realized he wasn’t comfortable with his situation and he wants things to change. Even while they told him to shut up, he could have, but he wanted this so much and he kept shouting in a loud voice and he got his eyes restored.

46 Jesus and his disciples went to Jericho. And as they were leaving, they were followed by a large crowd. A blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting beside the road. 47 When he heard that it was Jesus from Nazareth, he shouted, “Jesus, Son of David,[a] have pity on me!” 48 Many people told the man to stop, but he shouted even louder, “Son of David, have pity on me!” 49 Jesus stopped and said, “Call him over!”
They called out to the blind man and said, “Don’t be afraid! Come on! He is calling for you.” 50 The man threw off his coat as he jumped up and ran to Jesus.
51 Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man answered, “Master,[b] I want to see!”
A lot of people questioned why Jesus asked what he wants when he knew he was blind. I know we have seen the video albeit a funny one but with some hidden truth, about a woman crying for help for her husband who was under the rock. The angel appeared and asked her what she wanted and it should be one wish. The husband was already getting excited knowing he would be helped only for the woman to ask for the skin of a 16-year-old instead, while her husband looked bewildered at her choice. So, he might be comfortable with his blindness and desire wealth, questions need to be asked and that was why he asked him what he wanted.
