Forget the dimes...
Ok, so today I decided to DEEP clean the bedroom. It was gross and rainy most of the day. Plus, we age going away soon. I always like to come home to a super clean house after vacation. So today was a bit of a #scrubdownsaturday. 😄
Among the things to be dealt with... laundry, dusting, vacuuming and piles and piles of loose change. With the change, my first goal was to see if I had all of the America the Beautiful Quarters. NEWS FLASH - I am missing a few. 😄
But then I found something unique!
Low and behold! It’s a 1936 Buffalo Head nickel. This old coin is made of copper and nickel. However, certain ones from the Denver Mint can be worth $1000. Let’s flip mine over to see the mint mark.
CURSES! San Fransisco mint mark. 🤣😂
This is still a pretty sweet old coin. It is likely worth $0.50 to $1.00. MORE VALUABLE THAN STEEM!!! Just need a few more and then it will be lambo time!
Just before sunset the rain let up and the sun had a chance to shine. Things are full on fall here in the Pacific Northwest. I love the changing of the leaves, but I am already over the dreary gray days.

Autumn used to be my favorite, I think I like sunny autumn though better than rainy autumn. This week the weather is meant to improve. A crisp blue sky day with all of the colorful leaves is always nice.
The funny thing about the nickel is in had put it in a jar of unique coins. But I am sure it has been in there longer than I have been on steemit. I think I appreciated it more after seeing folks post about old coins and seeing you and others looking for unique stuff in the coin star machines. 😍
I love the design of the Buffalo Nickle. Even not in silver, I have a tube of them because they are really lovely coins.

The farmers here are disappointed that it didn't rain last week as predicted. We have not had rain yet since summer.

No rain since summer! I wish I could send your farmers some of ours. Sometimes a nice dark rainy day is cozy. But I am sooo missing the sun right now. Luckily I have reprieve coming soon. ☀️🌴🌺. First some aloha time, then some koala 🐨 time. 😍
The nickel is kind of cool. I feel like my involvement with ssg has given me a greater appreciation of coins in general. I was excited to rediscover this one at the bottom of my coin jar.
