Samuel Eto'o retired.
Samuel Eto'o, one of the best African players of all time, announced the end of his career. The Cameroonian announced the decision on his Instagram account.
"- That's the end. Time for a new challenge. Thank you all for great love, adrenaline" - Eto'o wrote.
The 38-year-old was elected the best African player 4 times. With the representation of Cameroon, he won the gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, and also triumphed twice in the African Nations Cup (2000 and 2002).
He began his senior career at Real Madrid, but at Santiago Bernabeu he did not win a place in the first team. He achieved the greatest club successes with FC Barcelona and Inter Milan. With Blaugrana and Nerazzurri among others he triumphed in the Champions League 3 times.
