OFFICIAL: Praet finally in the Premier League. Belgian will play in Leicester.
Leicester City won the fight for Dennis Praet.
Belgian was connected with Liverpool 3 years ago, then resisted the temptation and chose the offer of Sampdoria, in which he was given a key role. Thanks to the trust of the 25-year-old, he earned himself the title of one of the best midfielders in Serie A, recording 106 appearances with 4 goals and 6 assists.
Now he decided it was the right moment to step forward and thus come to England. Leicester City fought for the middle midfielder (and Inter Milan a little earlier) and, as it turned out, his efforts brought the desired effect. Leicester came to an agreement with Sampdoria and for around £18 million (€ 19.5 million) they acquired full rights to a talented player who has made three appearances in the Belgian national team.
Dennis Praet today arrived in Leicester, where after passing medical tests, he signed a contract binding both parties until June 30, 2024.
