Napoli rejected Real's offer in the summer.
Calcio Mercato reported that in the summer Real Madrid tried to buy Fabian Ruiz from SSC Napoli. The Spanish club's offer was rejected.
"The Royal's" proposed € 45 million as a midfielder. However this did't convince the Italian club leaders who didn't accept the offer.
SSC Napoli is currently negotiating an extension of the contract with the 23-year-old. The Ruiz contract is currently valid until 2023.
The Spaniard has been playing in Naples since July 2018. He came to San Paolo from Real Betis for € 30 million.
