Reigning champs upset!
Mexico just defeated Germany 1-0 in a massive upset to open up play in Group F. Germany was a massive favorite to win the group and a favorite to repeat as champs. This result will certainly shake up the Cup. It's worth noting that whoever finishes second in Group F will play the winner of Group E in the first round of the Knockout stage. This means if Germany finishes second in the group we would likely see a Brasil vs Germany first round match up. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Mexico's upset is the biggest of the tournament so far. Another shocker was the impressive play by Iceland yesterday which earned them a draw against a tough Argentina team. Messi was unable to find the goal in the 1-1 tie. The most disappointing moment for Messi was failing to convert a penalty kick which would have given them the lead.
Brazil will play their opening group match against Switzerland as the last match of the day. There are still two days left of opening matches in group play. There is much more great football to look forward to.

It is still hard to believe Germany did not advance out of group play. This loss to Mexico started Germany's epic fail.
Like seriously, I couldn't believe my eyes until the final whistle was blown. The match was really tough and Mexico's team utilized their chance, though, luck is also with them. I believe this year World Cup will be more tougher since big names doesnt seem to work.
Yes, it's still hard to believe that Germany was held scoreless! Mexico deserves some credit for their great defensive effort.
