Again I am here to give you an update of 2nd T20 played between India and Australia. In order to get more details about this series and about the 1st T20 match,do check out my previous post here.

So it was played between them at the new venue Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati . So this stadium 20th Indian stadium to host T20 international  match and 49th stadium to host international match .

Then it was the time for toss :-

Australia won the toss and elected to field first.

India played with the same playing 11 whereas Australia brought Stonis in for Cristian.

Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli (c), Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni (wk), Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah

David Warner (c), Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, Travis Head, Moises Henriques, Marcus Stoinis, Tim Paine (wk), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa, Jason Behrendorff

Now it was the time for India to start the innings :- 

It was again the same opening pair Rohit and Dhawan who opened the innings for India.And it was again Rohit Sharma who hit a four at very first ball of the inning off Jason Behrendorff .It was then followed by another four .But it was then the fortune changed for the Aussies and for  Jason Behrendorff . Rohit was LBW with a fine delivery from the young lad Jason Behrendorff and it was then followed with the wicket of Indian skipper Virat Kolhi. It was then again Manish Pandey and Srikar Dhawan who got out off  Jason Behrendorff. Did you see that catch from David Warner? OMG you beauty what a catch it was. The day was meant for Jason Behrendorff who bagged 4 wicket in his 4 over spell conceding 21 runs. 

And now the score was 27-4 and the Aussies all over the Indians. It was then MS Dhoni and kedar Yadav who tried to take the inning further but it was Adam Zamba who stunned MD Dhoni with his delivery getting him stumped.Even Kedar didn't last long and was bowled trying to hit a six off Adam Zamba and the team collapsed. 

Well Hardik Pandaya  and Kuldeep Yadav tried to play promising innings but things didn't workout as per Hardik who mishits to long off trying to take on Stonis for a six.And the team collapsed for  118 all-out.

Lets see what happened when Australia started their innings :-

It was again the same pair Warner and Aaron Finch who stated the inning for the Aussies.India came to the field with a positive attitude even after scoring a below par score. India started the innings with a good note with Bumrah picking up Warner and Bhubaneswar picking up Finch in the powerplay. India conceded 34 runs in the powerplay taking 2 wickets.

 It was then  Moises Henriques and Travis Head who were at the crease. Moises Henriques struggled a bit during start but he hit a six off Bumrah who would have sure given him some confidence.But then the duo played a classy innings taking singles,doubles,hitting boundaries and took the game away from India. None of the wrist spinner we able to pick their wickets even after giving more flight on the ball. 

Moises Henriques played an aggressive innings towards the end hitting sixes and completed his half-century.Even Travis Head played a fabulous innings but was 48 not out at the end. So Australia chased down 118 in 15.3 over with 8 wickets in hand leveling the series 1-1.

Now it was time for the presentation:-

It was Jason Behrendorff  who was awarded "Player of the Match" for picking up 4 important wickets for Australia. 

Words from Jason Behrendorff :-

It's not too often I get in front of the cameras, so I need to work on that (chuckles). Nice to get one over (in the last game) but the experience was good nonetheless. I have been working hard to play for Australia and am loving every minute of it. The whole Indian team is a class team and feels nice to take a few wickets and get ourselves to a great start. Can't wait to do it again at Hyderabad

Words from Indian captain Virat Kohli :-

Not the performance we wished for. Australia were much better on the day. We were not good enough with the bat. After the dew set in, it was very difficult to control the game. The effort is to do that (fight) as a team. But we speak about times when the situations are not in our favour and that is when we have to put 120% on the field. It is the attitude that matters the most. As a batsman you have two skills, one with the bat and the other on the field. (Talking about Behrendorff) Indeed, I thought the ball to Rohit was very good. His line and length was very tight. He made us think. Credit to him for hitting the right areas. He definitely had a top class day today.

Words from Australian captain David Warner :-

It feels great. As I said, bowl well and start well. Jason has got the height and bounce, he comes from Perth and has the right attitude, which is key. Zampa was fantastic as well. Sending Henriques early was something I spoke about. He's been effective with Sunrisers as well, and he came and showed his experience. In the beginning, the pitch was softish, quite like an English wicket. But if you got through the new ball, you could score. Hopefully the crowd gets behind us in Hyderabad

• For the 1st time Australia beat India in India in T20's .
• It also ends the runs of seven successive wins for India against Australia in T20Is.
• Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati is 20th Indian stadium to host T20 international  match and 49th stadium to host international match .

Next match will be played on 13th October at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad . As the series is leveled with 1-1 so the one who wins here will bag the series. And believe it is going to be one hell of a match,so stay tuned.
