BEAUTIFUL DAY FOR LAST ROUND OF GOLF
The forecast looked wonderful, so when my buddy, Cam, called to play one last round of golf I was definitely in!!
When we teed off at 10:20 AM on Tuesday morning the temperature was 42 degrees and there was only a handful of cars in the parking lot. By the time we finished 3 hours later the temp was 50 degrees, and the lot was full because many other golfers came for one last round.

It was great to play again, since it had been at least one month since my last round. On the second hole I pulled off an amazing shot into the green. Hitting my 4 iron to about 10 feet of the pin. I missed the birdie but it felt great to launch such a beautiful shot, giving me the confidence to hit more.

The back nine at Indianhead Golf Course is very tight, with narrow fairways cutting through the wooded forest. All day long my driver was very solid, keeping it in play and out of trouble.

On hole number 13, a par 3 of 145 yards, I hit a beautiful shot to 5 feet from the pin. When I rolled this putt into the center of the cup the birdie felt wonderful!!
I was really grateful to get out and play one last round of golf. Making it even better was that I played well and shot a good score (42+39=81).

What do you mean your last day?! I have seen some golfers out there in the dead of winter playing with little florescent orange balls. Mind you they looked a little cold...and the balls don't roll worth a darn in the snow,
That is a good comment!! Most courses are closed already. This one opened for a brief few days because of the forecast. They told us it was their last day. However, I could travel south and play. So I guess it would be correct to say, last round of 2017 in Wisconsin. BTW - I'm one of the diehards. I have played in wind chill temps of 15 degrees. :-D

Yeah, sometimes once a week in the summer. Trying to keep it interesting, hitting the high spots. I don't think people are interested in each shot. But the beauty of the course's make good posts, and maybe a highlight of the round.

I bet it is more beautiful with all the leaves in either Spring or early Autumn.

Yes, that's what I love, the natural beauty of the golf courses. And I enjoy to play, it takes years of practice to be any good. But anyone can enjoy to play, just remember, it's just a game and don't be so serious. ;-D
My friend in the photo was on the high school golf team, and that was almost 40 years ago. (i beat him)
