FIFA 2018 FEVER....RUSSIA

So it's FIFA time guys, and I am not only the one who is being crazy like millions of people in this world. The 2018 FIFA World Cup will be the 21st FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in Russia from 14 June to 15 July 2018, after the country was awarded the hosting rights on 2 December 2010.

And I am a big fan of the Brazilian football team. Since childhood. I have heard about this team from my grandfather and it continues till now. So I will be sharing some of the past content
and present contents of this legendary team with my steemit family members.

Brazil is one of the most toughest and successfull nation team in the FIFA world cup. This national team has won the FIFA title 5 times in history. It won for the first time in 1958 and then 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002.Brazil is the only national team to have played in all World Cup editions without any absence nor need for playoffs.Brazil is the only national team to have won the World Cup on four different continents: once in Europe (1958 Sweden), once in South America (1962 Chile), twice in North America (1970 Mexico and 1994 United States) and once in Asia (2002 Korea/Japan). They share with France, Argentina and Germany the feat to have won the three most important men's football titles recognized by FIFA: the World Cup, the Confederations Cup, and the Olympic tournament.They also share with Spain a record of 35 consecutive matches undefeated.

HISTORY AND VICTORIES:-

Though I haven't seen match, but it is believed that the first match of the Brasilian national football team was held on 1914 versus Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo select team and the English club Exeter City, held in Fluminense's stadium. Later on this team its first world cup on 1930 held in Uruguay.They played after their 1st world cup for next 27 years without any titles but in 1958 world cup they grew their strength and won the finals against Sweden beating them by 5-2.

The era between 1958-70 was the golden era as it was the era of Pelé. Pelé is the only player to won total three world cups 1958, 1962 and 1970. He is the highest goal scorer of the Brazilian team of all time with 77 goals in just 92 games. In the 1962 World Cup, Brazil earned its second title with Garrincha as the star player, a mantle and responsibility laid upon him after the regular talisman, Pelé, was injured during the second group match against Czechoslovakia and unable to play for the rest of the tournament. Again after a long break of 8 years after the 1962 world cup, the Brazilian national football team won the 3rd world cup on 1970 in Mexico.

After that it was a long gap for all the Brazilian football fans and the team of not winning any of the world cups. And after 24 years without even entering any world cup finals, in the world cup of 1994, this team headed to a win by defeating Italy after a 0-0 draw, kicking off the penalty shot and winning the title once again for the 4th time. Fuelled by the "Three R's" (Ronaldo, Rivaldo and Ronaldinho), Brazil won its fifth championship at the 2002 World Cup, held in South Korea and Japan. Brazil beat all three opponents in group play in South Korea and topped the group.

And now it's 2018 world cup hoping to see this Brazilian team once again on fire and winning the title once again.
