Boxing in regards to PPV numbers is pretty much DEAD. Only Canelo draws numbers. Mayweather is not the draw in this fight it is McGregor. Mayweathers last fight with Andre Berto only drew 400k buys. Manny Pacquiao who has been a PPV draw for nearly 8 years had below 400k numbers his last 2 fights and is now FIGHTING July 1st on FREE TV. Conor is the draw. I think we are seeing an evolution of where people will spend their money. Hope boxing can recover.
I fully agree with you Eric. Lets see what Canelo Vs. Golovkin can bring in?? My money is already on Golovkin for that one ;)
Canelo is a draw. His last fight with Chavez did 1.2 million buys. GGG last fight only his 2nd PPV event did 170k buys. He gets to ride Canelos coattails on this one. It's on Mexican Independence and at T-Mobile arena it will do well!!! Cant wait to see it!
