Stop pushing yourself, stop demanding from others, stop looking for certainty = start living a happy life

in #spirituality6 years ago

We must relax, stop struggling, stop trying so hard, stop manipulating people to try to get what we want. Once we have become accustomed to stop doing so much (letting go) and just being for a while (live the moment), we can live a much happier life.

If you are bad at something, you deserve your own compassion and help, not condemnation and punishment. If you accept yourself unconditionally - whether or not you do well (or do well about doing well) or get approved by others - you will tend to act in your own interests, go for pleasures, and feel good much more.

Moreover, you are a changeable individual. Even if you only failed at something during your whole life, you could change and never fail again. What is the difference between the master and the beginner? The master has failed more times. You are the master of your fate! You are the captain of your soul!

If you are afraid that you would get lost without your constant overwhelming thoughts and efforts, think about it this way: getting lost is not bad at all, since getting lost is a prerequisite for finding yourself. It is always darkest before the dawn; you can only see the light of the stars in the darkest of nights.

The only certainty is uncertainty, and the best thing for us is to accept that and be curious about our future. If we become still in a muddy river, the mud around us will settle and the water will become clearer. We can not win the war against the uncertainty by becoming certain, instead we find stability by embracing uncertainty and telling the universe "bring it on".

We're actually not even afraid of uncertainty, we are afraid of the bad outcome, and that's what we have to face. Imagine your desired event as a balloon and untie it so it goes up to the universe, so that at some point, it may come back untied. In the meantime, try to look around you and see what you appreciate now!

This just means to keep everything at our pace. To smile when we are happy. To cry when we are sad. To always do our best though we are about to fall. Life is all about the drawbacks but still let us continue to be happy.

Very nice thoughts, @sakura1012. Thanks for sharing, cheers! : )

Cheers to a positive life!

Great post, found you on @cryptogees blogs.
Agree with this. People wanting to control other people, certain outcomes really lead to unhappiness. I'm in the process of attuning myself to let things be, and it seems to work so far :D
If one does his/her best in fulfilling their instincts/purpose, no matter how many times they fail, I believe it would always lead to a good ending.

Thanks for reaching out, @jazzhero.

Great to hear that letting go works for you; although I'm writing about it, I can't say that I've really mastered the application on my personal life, but I am in the process! :D

"If one does his/her best in fulfilling their instincts/purpose, no matter how many times they fail, I believe it would always lead to a good ending." - And by just believing in this, I think that we strengthen our chances of a good ending even more.

Cheers! : )

I'm also in the process of mastering it - a very slowww process :D But the moment we acknowledge our weaknesses, that's where transformation begins right?

Thanks for dropping by and checking out my post. Appreciate it. Cheers :)

I LOVE this post! What I would say is: the only thing we really HAVE to do in order to live happily is to relax.

About stop trying so hard, I do not really agree with you. I think that it depends on what you are trying to do or achieve. Some things are worthy of trying hardest possible, for example pursuing career we would really enjoy.

Also, about NO, I think this is also nice: No doesn't mean 'no', no means 'try harder' :)

Thank you for the thoughtful comment, I agree with you about relaxing.

I think that the problem with "trying hard" is not in "trying hard" itself, but in the usually accompanying side-effects such as anxiety, stress, and exhaustion. I believe that trying as hard as possible can be good in some very short-term activities (for example fighting for your life or running a 50m race), but as per your example of pursuing a career that we would really enjoy: if you focus only on that and postpone pleasures, hobbies, relaxation, friends etc. for too long, you are actually hindering you mental and physical health, and that is no good for anything.

Yes, the balance is important :)

I agree with this comment @lifenbeauty, too much work and no play hinders our mental and physical wellbeing.
