Los bancos son organizaciones del tipo financiero que tienen como función principal proporcionar servicios financieros a las personas. Estos servicios pueden ser depósitos, créditos, prestamos, etc. Todas estas funciones tienen un banco, pero además de estas, también podemos encontrar algunas otras funciones que desempeña un banco:
"Un banco es un objeto creado para brindar asiento a varias personas."
"Un banco es un lugar en donde personal médico especializado guarda varios tipos de órganos humanos, fluidos y tejidos en condiciones óptimas para ser utilizados con varios propósitos: trasplantes, exámenes, practicas, etc."
"Un banco es conocido como la arena que se ubica por debajo de sitios acuáticos navegables."
"Un banco está formado por una gran multitud de peces nadando, reunidos en un mismo lugar "
"Un banco llega a ser una herramienta indispensable de cualquier taller, en la cual trabajan sobre él varios profesionales de la madera, hierro, barro, etc."
Los bancos fueron diseñados para varias funciones, él más conocido es el que relacionamos con finanzas, aun así, como queda demostrado, por ser el más famoso no tiene una sola función, posee varias funciones más, cada una distinta al resto, lo único que comparten entre sí, es el nombre.
