My adventures in Globe Trotting!! Second stop, España (with a touch of France!)

If you wander the streets of Barcelona, you might stumble upon some of the most beautiful, random, hidden talent amongst their alleys. But first, let me back up, since this was the end of the trip.....

It all started with the Explosive Expert just 5 minutes into our trip at the airport. Lesson learned, don't pack protein powder unless you want the extensive interrogation.

Despite an 8-hour layover and rerouting through London, we eventually landed in Madrid. The next morning, we hopped on a train and made our way across Spain - such a beautiful county - and began our hike along the Camino, specifically the English Way. We set out, all ambitious, with our 30+ pound backpacks and let the shells guide us.

The scenery was beautiful...

We even met some friends along the way...


Blisters and bruises (including those on our egos!) cut our hike short. It was discouraging, but we caught our second flight - because we missed the first one - to Paris. A last-minute decision we grew very thankful for.


Did I mention I had booked train tickets for be wrong day and we waited at an empty station for our ride in Spain? Or that we missed our first flight to Paris so had to catch a later flight out of Santiago? Or that we shocked the nice gentlemen at the coffee shop when we ordered 4 espressos? 'QUATTRO espressos?' 😱 He clarified it at least 3 times in two different languages, emphasizing 'quattro' each time. What can I say, we needed our caffeine fix!

We wrapped up Paris, flew to Barcelona, and explored the streets of Spain once more. Which is leads me back to that first picture, the beautiful, random, somewhat hidden talent buried amongst the streets. 💛
Just as Thailand, while traveling in Europe, one thing made this trip better...
...traveling with someone who has a better sense of direction than mine. Oh! And someone I love, of course, very much. ❤️
