What is happening to Gab is anti-American.
Do you remember 10 years ago when liberals embraced the concept of having a free marketplace for your ideas? I do. Now, it appears that the extremist elements of the left are censors and seem to have completely abandoned liberal values.
Double standard: Gab gets censured, Facebook and Twitter are not. This despite the reason that payment providers and hosting services providing for punishing Gab was because they offered a platform to criminal elements. Facebook and Twitter, however, are equally guilty.
I, for one, will celebrate when Twitter goes the way of MySpace where it belongs. It is rapidly becoming a feckless echo chamber. It is unfortunate that competitors seem to have to leap ridiculous hurdles in order to pull market share from the larger platforms despite having Terms of Service that more closely align to the values of United States citizens (as opposed to the retrograde values of the isolated denizens of Silicon Valley).

I couldn't agree more. Do you remember the app YikYak? It was once a rapidly growing application that allowed anonymous posting, but it caved to pressure from Universities, schools, and businesses to allow censorship and "geofencing" where the application couldn't be used. Shortly thereafter, the app when the way of myspace. And as an aside, I believe that if Americans want to see less violence, they need to offer more speech -- not restrict it. I strongly believe that when people feel they aren't being heard, they will act out.
The name is vaguely familiar; but, I never used this program. Had to go read about it. From my cursory review it looks like it was most popular with college-aged people; so, having universities blacklist it pretty much sounded the death knell. Interesting.
