Food & Travel Blog - Lunch At Mid Valley Megamall

in #sndbox7 years ago (edited)

Mid Valley Megamall is a food heaven. It's one of the most popular malls in Malaysia and you can find all types of international cuisines here, from the regular mamak store to the more expensive Japanese restaurants. There are two parts to the mall. The new one is called Gardens.

I took a photo of the architectural design since it was pretty fascinating.

You can find all of the luxury items on the ground floor of the mall including Prada. Not the kind of places I can afford to patronize.

This is the 3rd floor of Gardens. I found the ceiling and the the wall's design quite different from other malls.

We're pretty much done with Gardens. It's the newer part and it's also much smaller than the other side.

They were having a car exhibition the other day and it was organized by Car Sifu in partnership with The Star Media Group.

There were plenty of people the other day (but much lesser than the weekend crowd). You could find most of the cars Malaysians regularly drive here.

They even had a car frame for you to look at it and see what it really looks like without the seats and so on.

For lunch I headed over to Mikey's New York Pizza and they had a KGB Burger Pop Up Store as well.

It's located at one of the highest floors, opposite McDonalds and Golden Screen Cinemas. There's a huge screen for movie trailers, so if you're bored you could just look at it.

It's not a very popular place, seeing how the crowd is smaller here. Other restaurants were full because of the office crowd during lunch.

You have to order the food at the counter and they'll bring it to you. If you're interested in KGB burgers, you'll have to order from that counter as well.

They'll give to you a name plate instead of a number for your order.

This is their meatball bolognese sandwich. Does it look appetizing to you?

Their BBQ boneless chicken was the bomb! I think they used some vinegar as I could definitely taste vinegar in it. The meat is really tender and it's slightly crispy on the outside. Dip it in the sour cream and voila!

If I'm not mistaken it's slightly over RM10 (or $2+).

I ordered one burger from the KGB Pop Up store as well.

Introducing the Magmar burger! The first layer is a fried mac and cheese with salted egg yolk, followed by a beef patty infused with curry leaves and some tomatoes. The combination was weird but tasty. I thought the curry leaves overpowered the dish at times.

I love the fries as well as they were crispy when served. The sauce reminds me of the one at BurgerLab since they're both orange and tastes similar. Overall, the food was quite decent and I enjoyed it a lot!
