Alright so we all are pretty excited that our weekly smartcash payouts are increasing from this week and so I thought this might be a good opportunity to spread the word out about smartcash and ALSO promote science reading to more steemians!! I won't give away all the extra smartcash hehe I still wanna slowly inch towards that smartcash masternode!!

Okay so before I explain how this is gonna promote both #smartcash and #science let me tell you about the rules and things are gonna get pretty obvious from there on!!

• 10 smartcash will be given away every week to 2 winners (5 SMART each).
• The winners will be announced before the weekly payout post of team smartcash on steemit from the account @smartcash. For this week the winners will be announced before or on 21st February.
• The winners will be tipped their winnings via @smartbot. (For those of you who don't know, the smartbot is built into steemit in such a way that you guys already have a smartcash address linked to your steemit account. You can always ask me more details about it. I'll gladly guide you through).

How to enter?

• All you gotta do is leave a meaningful comment on my #steemstem post. If I post 2 articles a comment on either will qualify, same goes for the case if I post 3, 4 or whatever number of articles I post. (I usually post 1 or 2 per week)
• The comment must have something to do with the post (most likely I will know from the comment itself whether you have read the post or not). It could be anything as long as it proves you have read the post!! I will manually go through ALL the comments and choose the winner myself.
• The obvious vague comments like nice sharing, i follow you, I learn a lot from your post... and so on will not qualify. Even comments that have been written just by looking at the title or maybe just by reading the first and last paragraphs will also not qualify. Trust me, we understand most of the times when you haven't really read the post.
• While commenting more number of times is allowed, it does NOT increase your chances of winning. But if your comment triggers a good discussion in the comments that DOES increase your chances of winning.

Why not on my #smartcash posts?

You might be wondering if this is a smartcash giveaway, why it's happening on science posts and not on my smartcash posts?

If you are my smartcash peeps, you already know all there is to know about smartcash and all the awesome benefits. I have no reason to promote smartcash to you guys and most of you are a lot more knowledgeable than me anyways :D
But you guys can also definitely enter the giveaway contest given you follow the rules!!

So with the goal of spreading the word and letting more people know about smartcash, I though it better to reach out to people outside the community. @tngflx from the steemstem community is already with us...his steemstem posts are pretty awesome, do check out his posts if you guys have the time!! I wanna get some more awesome people from the #steemstem community (trust me that community is swarming with knowledge!!).

Note : The posts will not have the #smartcash tag. Most of you guys at smartcash are already following me so if you wanna enter, you will see my steemstem post on your feed. I will still drop a message (not the link of the post) on the team smartcash on steemit section on smartcash discord channel.

Why choose #steemstem?

Where I am on steemit today, my reputation, my nearly 700 steem power, my nearly 500 followers, I OWE IT ALL TO STEEMSTEM!! SteemSTEM has given and given and given some more to me!! There is no way I would have had found my ground here on steemit if it was not for @steemstem A lot of you might now know, but if the steemstem team wasn't rewarding my content the way they have I would have never been able to get on board the smartcash ship!! I think it's time to give something back to the steemstem community!! And I also want these wonderful people to benefit from the wonderful opportunities that SmartCash beholds!!

How is this promoting the learning of science?

It's pretty obvious by now how this is promoting smartcash. But what about science? Well, if you follow the rules, you have read one science post at least for the week. And the way I try to construct my posts explaining how different things work in our body, I believe even people outside the field of science can understand a bit of what is happening if they read the post!! If you have learned something, I have accomplished something!! And by participating in this giveaway, you are ensuring that you have learned some science for the week!!
