Music Today Issue #1 | A SMA Community Initiative

In this first issue of Music Today, we discover and highlight five (5) extraordinary music posts from all over the Steemit community.

Music Today is a SMA Community Initiative aimed at making sure the time and effort Steemians passionate about music are recognized, rewarded, and given the feedback they deserve.

What is the Steem Music Alliance? (SMA)

The Steem Music Alliance (SMA) is a community-based network platform that connects musical creatives, as well as, music lovers. We offer the opportunity for people to engage, collaborate, and grow.

We are a dynamic, collaborative group of over 450 members with the goal to help each other in the pursuit of reaching our potential and dreams.

Our curators scoured the #music, #sma , and other music-related tags to find some incredible music-related content to showcase and highlight to the community.

All of these posts below were voted on by the @smacommunity trail which is comprised of souls who care about music and music-related content here on Steemit.

@yidneth with "The Waking of the Spring"

Wow what an absolutely magical post from @yidneth.

You can tell how much passion, time, and effort went into creating this Steemit post. Not only does she have an immaculate, professional video with such amazing shots of her and the landscape (and those purple flowers what an effect), but her voice and music is so beautiful. That harp is so beautiful and complements her voice so well and reiterates the welcoming of spring.

And her post has so much relevant information ranging from the creation of the video to the heartwarming inclusion of her pet rat to sharing the musical instruments and process she used.

This is no doubt one of the best music-related Steemit post I have come across in my time on Steemit. Thank you so much for sharing this and raising the bar of what a top-notch Steemit music post is.

Love this Steemit post from @jonmagnusson for several reasons.

One being the absolutely incredible passion behind his vocals. That passion is contagious and really hits the soul.

Two that guitar in the beginning is amazing and sets the tone so well. What a way to catch the audience.

And third the perspectives he shares about the backstory behind the creation of this track. Inspiration for music comes from a variety of places and knowing where this song came from especially the perspective he shares really helps fully appreciate the message and meaning of this song.

Thank for sharing that insight and this amazing passionate track with the community.

@onemedia with "2001 Shades of Psycho"

So many amazing things to say about this flowing Steemit music post from @onemedia.

First the music he created is out of this world. He uses such incredible inspiration from the movie Space Odyssey to 50 Shades of Grey to Psycho to create a one-of a kind sound that has to be heard to be understood completely. His music absolutely takes over the senses and demands your full attention. Absolutely incredible the talent @onemedia has.

Second, the video is so creative and captivating. He combines different scenes as the backdrop with those trippy effects leaving you wondering how he did that. It oozes creativity and reiterates his track so well.

And third the absolutely flowing and passion he writes with in this post is awe-inspiring. Not only does he gives a textual overview of this track but shares the exact insights and inspiration for this track. And his writing style just shows you how amazing @onemedia 's brain is. What a Steemian.

Wow what a heart-wrenching track from @jamesgetsit.

The inspiration behind this EP is hard to comprehned but he shares his emotions and experiences with the Steemit community in this track.

Appreciate the in-depth lyrics shared by @jamesgetsit in this Steemit post and how it shares such a powerful message in such a peaceful way its extraordinary.

"We are all connected..." and he reiterates this and you can tell the impact it already has had on the community. Love this deep soulful song and that beat keeps your frequencies at the right level.

Wow what a soothing and vibration-raising musical creation from @styleyfrancky.

Love the way the flute is highlighted throughout the track and complements it with that drum almost like a heartbeat. This is so ideal to put on repeat and meditate to or for a cinematic setting shot of a beautiful landscape.

Appreciate you sharing the instruments you incorporate as well. And congratulations on 300 followers that's amazing. Keep up the good work.
