Visionary Art Contest submission :Plants as gifts throughout Space and Time

Plants have been used as gifts throughout time on our world, most likely since we have been able to gift anything.
This got my mind thinking about the fact that it may be one of our first transactions with Alien life. My focus for this Submission for the Visionary Art Contest hosted by @elohprojects and @slothicorn is based on this idea.

Overall blue shadow edit that I feel heavily unites the piece, but the unedited has a jene sai quai and I just cant choose between the two. They offer something different and lovely.

This plant gift brings to mind alot of different notions...I feel like this particular plant is a revered plant that heals and can also expand consciousness. It also has the ability to fold time and space. (Can you see my love of DUNE poking through hehe!)

Here are a few details of The Plant itself

I kind of feel like there are many things happening in this piece so I will try to explain a bit. Examples: in the upper left quadrant we can see a original transmission to meet with lifeforms in another region of space. This is represented by the little bubbles being sent across space in the top of painting past the Homeworld as a telepathic message that includes pictures of the actual future meeting in the center of the piece.
This next picture is the woman's homeworld. Lets call her Marjorie,someone mentioned this character reminded them of Marjorie Cameron and I rather like the notion that she could be a reincarnated version.

Here is the original unedited finished piece. In this version, in the lower right quadrant we see Marjorie crying blood tears, which is one of the side effects of ingesting the plant. It is a harmless side effect, but useful information to know if you will be the one experiencing it! .

The finished peice in its entirety once more! This piece started out a sweet drawing done in the morning light with my husband and daughter at my side making their own art. I moved it to the kindle and then digitally painted and collaged it.
