Shadow Photo Contest
It's summer time, and @melinda010100's #ShadowPhotoContest is taking a well-deserved vacation. It's okay to keep posting shadows, any shadows you like, but there won't be any judging.
I think even the shadows are on vacation here. With all the overcast skies we've been having, the shadows are...well, shadows of their former selves. For example, look how anemic this shadow of the gazebo at Seabridge Harbor in Oxnard, California, is! Hopefully summer will soon be sunny and I can share some more robust shadows. Until then, enjoy the vacation!

Near the coast, we deal with "the marine layer." It's often overcast in the morning during Spring, the May Gray and June Gloom, but it should be sunnier now. My wife and I spent a couple of days at Disneyland and were wondering what out of state visitors thought of the gloomy weather we were experiencing.

That's not a bad idea. We have lots of fake spiders of all sizes since that't my wife's theme for decorating our house at Halloween. We even have a bag of (plastic) human bones wrapped in a cocoon of webbing. Maybe I should hang that there and photograph people's reactions.
