I am so so glad the snow is gone, for a little while. I wonder when momma moose is going to be back by, or if she got ran off or something. Hope we see her again soon, would be great if she came back with twins like last year.

Melted pretty fast without to much flooding, nothing like
the wild breakups many moons ago lol

Not seen her in awhile now. No babies yet spotted!
Soon eh.

Shadows ON a moose! Ha! Leave it to you, @Shasta!

I had been saving this one a while, almost
forgot about it lol

Thought you'd like :-))

Moose need more attention lol

Thanks for the snow warning...I only looked at that awesome moose! It is rare to see a moose, and even be next to it when you enlarge your pictures; however, it is over the top rare to see tree shadows on a moose! Only you @shasta...only you could produce something like this. Love it! : )

LOL you like the warning, I thought of you when
I wrote that :-))

I couldn't believe the luck of that shot, especially
to have sun shine let alone a moosie too
Lots of cloudy days here.

Fills my heart with joy you love it ❤

HaHa! I thought that warning was for me. I laughed when I thought the sand was snow. : ) I hope the clouds clear soon. We had rain for 6 days straight and then 2 cloudy days after that, so I know how you feel. Sending sunshine your way @shasta! : )

The shadows make him look all brindled. Or do you call moose tortoiseshell like Loki?

I never thought of moose being like brindley or
torty, but I will now 💕

Not quite a palomino lol
Tho there are white moose, not seen one
yet except in videos and photos.
Now that would be mind blowing to really
see a white one! :-)

It would be miraculously oracular! Like the White Buffalo Prophecy. I wouldn't quite be surprised if the white moose chose you of all people

May the force be with you, head to
the light and get some Vit-D ☀

Woohoo you got a new camera!! 📷 Much
fun @manorvillemike!!

I love this big guys, they seem so brute and gentle at the same time hahahah

That they do! lol
Have you seen the Moose milking video?
It's interesting :-)

Whathaaa? Moose milking? I'll watch it today.

Now that you've mentioned video, I've seen one about a guy living alone in Alaska, Richard Louis "Dick" Proenneke his name. He is no longer with us, but have you heard about him?

Was he the guy over on lake Iliamna who had
only a axe and knife, built his own cabin and
carved his own furniture and utensils?

Twin lakes, is it the same? this is the one.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Proenneke

Yep the same guy we seen years ago on
a pbs fundraiser they played his whole documentary
of Alone in the Wilderness
He sure makes it look so easy :-)
Proenneke's Cabin

hahahah yeah, that's the one documentary I've seen. His skills are incredible.

Amazing capture @shasta. Love it! He looks quite young. 😊

Thank you very much @redheadpei! 💕
This was her baby on that same day, the

youngin' was perhaps 500 feet distance from mom :-)

It's hard to tell size in zoomed out and in and closer
to camera moose, the baby was closer to me by say
100 feet if that, mom was down the driveway.

Calf was much smaller than cow. By time they hooked
up they were lost in the forest.
Calf is perhaps 9 to 10 months old, Cow is prob already
pregnant with this springs new ones.
